And even Brit Hume came out and said the ad was “odd.” Wow, this is the silly season.

Thinking about it, I bet the guy in the ad is one of those guys who doesn’t even realize when he’s smoking! He didn’t even seem conscious of it in the last bit there. Like he was supposed to stare into the camera for a second, he did, but forget he was doing the usual nasty — smoking!

Anyway, what a tempest in a Tea Party.

I thought it creepy too. The whole thing is weird. I like the smoking because libs hate it etc, but it is just odd.

I will only ask you again. Has Cain actually done all those things on my list? Addressed ALL those issues single-handedly with a legislature, a huge state budget, and found solutions to ALL those issues in his state that are before the nation today and has a successful record of finding solutions and implementing them?

NO, he hasn’t. So once again, if the shoe fits...

Rowdy, I've been in Texas for close to 50 years so don't try to spin Mr. Perry as Captain America. He's a fairly competent career politico who's governor of a state in which the Lt. Governor has more actual power and influence than he does.

The things you list happened on Perry' watch - good for him. However, giving him all the credit for the condition that Texas finds itself in is a crock.

He deserves credit for helping the process along ... and for not screwing it up ... no more, no less.

Good analysis - and, if this was really planned so, it is extremely effective. I am in awe.

Well, it’s not a crock, or we wouldn’t have elected him to offices in this state five times. And whether you like it or not, he deserves MY respect and support as the leader of this State and the record he has established while in office.

Now your shoe can just get tighter and tighter in your denial but his clear record cannot be disputed.

Z’actly... I’m not surprised that so many of the commentariat are mistified.
