This is the website for Building a Better Ohio, the Yes on Issue 2 campaign. Fiscal reform activists have been targeted and intimidated just like they were in Wisconsin. But they are standing tall:
Issue 2 is about reasonable reforms that give our local governments the flexibility to manage their budgets and avoid the tax hikes, cutbacks, and layoffs that weve seen across Ohio for years. But despite such a reasonable position, there are many across Ohio that are nervous about publicly stating their support for Issue 2. And we cant blame them. We Are Ohios campaign has outspent ours by a ratio of 5-2, and theyve made sure to tell Ohioans that Issue 2 supporters are the enemy.
To them, if youre for Issue 2, you hate firefighters.
To them, if youre for Issue 2, you despise educators.
And weve already seen proof of its success in Wisconsin, where similar reforms were implemented.
The misinformation campaign from the other side is punctuated with a vitriol seen all too often in politics. Instead of a fair and balanced discussion of the facts, we instead observe the politics of personal destruction

We must win this fight on November 8.
I fear, based on what my friends and family in OH say, that Issue 2 is a goner.
I hope you are wrong but with all of the lies the commercial are broadcasting 24/7 I wouldn’t be surprised.I just wish people realized that this will mean higher taxes and fees that we can’t afford.it also will mean less teachers, firefighters and cops because the cities and counties will not be able to afford their salaries but that is the way the unions work.It is the direct opposite of what their commercials say....
While the YES on 2 side started off WAY behind, they have been trending a lot better over the past month. I am not willing to lie to myself and say they’re coming on so strong that it’s going to be alright. However, the NO side doesn’t have ANY new arguments, they’ve beat the same drum all season.
The one thing I wish the YES on 2 side would do is bring up how much better off Wisconsin is after they passed their teacher union reforms.
Well it’s simple...if they pass it then their economy will stay in the crapper and worse then states with a more fair system. Want to see your future look at NY.
What sickens me is that all these people in Akron who yearn for the days of the tire plants fail to realize WHY the plants shut down and moved South...
THE UNIONS!!!!
FYI
Thanks.....
