The White Houses green technology revolution is sitting in an auto lot in Butler, Pa., and nobody is buying.
Nobody comes in to ask, nobody comes in to look The American people are smarter than the government theyre not buying that car, said Republican Rep. Mike Kelly, who owns the auto lot where one of General Motors combined electric-and-gasoline powered Volt autos sits unwanted, unsold and unused.
The Chevy Volt would cost its buyer almost $40,000 even after a $7,500 federal check and thats more than twice the price of a comparable Chevy Cruze, Kelly told The Daily Caller. I just pay interest on it, insure it, and in another week or month, well scrape snow off it.
That price tag puts it up in the premium car market. Even at the price of a Chevy Cruz, it wouldn’t be worth it for everyday driving (unless you lived close to your workplace). Limited appeal, high price. An Edsel for sure.
No one wants these plug in cars. I asked an enviro-wacko once..what about the electricity it takes to charge these cars AND what about the battery when it has to be replaced, a battery that costs several hundred dollars? No reply. Just like those fugly squiggle bulbs filled with mercury, how is that healthy? This green garbage is just that.. garbage.
Only people who are too lazy to walk to work would consider a Volt.
I see no reason to insult lazy people.
Buying a volt requires blind unthinking belief in Obama. Much like the OWS crowd does not consider most trading is done by computers based in NJ.
