POLICE were today probing reports that a woman taking part in an 'Occupy' anti-capitalist protest was gang raped in her camp.
Officers are hunting a group of men who entered the site in George Square, Glasgow, where demonstrations were taking place, early this morning.
The men were not part of the protest and were allegedly drinking and chatting with those occupying the land outside Glasgow's City Chambers.

"There was a gang of about three men in the tent with the girl at the time and she sounded as if she was crying while they were doing God knows what to her.
"Everyone is quite shaken up about this and there is a real concern that this will bring an end to what has been a peaceful protest."
Another protester, named only as James, said he was woken in the early hours to the sound of a police radio and that was when he learned that a girl had been sexually assaulted.
He said: "I didn't know what was happening until one of the other campers told me.
"Most of the people in the camp have been pretty polite and helpful - nice people really.
"But this has really worried folk - especially the girls staying here. It is not something you'd expect to happen with so many people around."

Fron the Glasgow, Scotland Obamaville.
How dare those men choose which laws to obey and which to not.
“There was a gang of about three men in the tent with the girl at the time and she sounded as if she was crying while they were doing God knows what to her.”
Probably just some golfers who’d wandered off the path.
There's currently an investigation into statutory rape of a 14-year-old runaway girl in Dallas:

I think there was an incident in Cleveland, as well.
At some point, I hope that women realize these campsites are not safe places.
Somehow I doubt this would achieve WG’s standard of “rape rape”.
Apparently this happened within earshot of dozens of protesters.
Nobody did anything.
"There was a gang of about three men in the tent with the girl at the time and she sounded as if she was crying while they were doing God knows what to her.
And the dozens and hundreds of protesters who are taking on world finance couldn't take on three men committing gang rape, and make them stop. It probably takes a while to come to a consensus.
To paraphrase the great Mark Steyn, it sounds more like "rape rape rape rape"...
So a bunch of wimpy “occupiers” listen to a woman being raped and do what? NOTHING?!
Every eevvvillllll conservative I know would have intervened, most with lead...
They want to tear down societal norms and the rule of law and replace it with... nothing.
This is the “society” that the left would prefer was the norm worldwide.
Gee who would ever think that a woman could not get trashed around a bunch of men then crawl into a tent and not be safe? DUH have these girls never been out of the house on their own or what?
It would be reasonable to suspect that this woman made some mistakes and put herself in harms way, but that does not excuse the crimes of the rapists in the tent or the fact that bystanders listened to her struggles and did nothing.
This is like the Kitty Genovese case, updated for our times.
Seriously, the other "protestors" listened to this and did nothing. Chickenshit pansies, the lot of them.
Yet another thing you won't hear about happening at a Tea Party rally. A few rapists shot dead is far more likely.
Bless this poor misguided girl, with bad taste in acquantances.
Ha. Wish I’d posted that.
Dead on!
Yes I realize that nothing excuses he men’s actions but as a woman I’ve always been of the mind that if one is smart you don’t put yourself in positions where things like this can easily happen. How many times do we hear of girls passing out at parties and finding out someone took advantage of them? Not a smart thing to do.
