Today, some members of the Morning Joe panel piously preached the importance of not jumping to conclusions regarding the clash between "Occupy" demonstrators and police in Oakland, California yesterday that left one man seriously injured.
But that didn't prevent Mike Barnicle from describing the event as a "police riot" or Joe Scarborough from speaking of police "brutality." H/t NB reader Ray R. Interestingly, Mika Brzezinski was the voice of reason, declining to condemn the police, saying "I'd wait"--presumably to get all the facts.

Mika actually refused to condemn the police, and said she’d “hold back” and “wait”—presumably to get the facts. So in this case, surprising as it might be, she actually was the voice of reason.
Joe s has become totally inhinged. He is a joke.
Keeping in mind that the end goal is to get public acceptance for a police state crackdown at the federal level,
my analysis is that they are trying to portray local authorities as unable to handle the situation at least and as the “real bad guys” at most.
Now the world is really going to end!
Again this media source cherry picks the details to further their own agenda, which is to stir up their target audience.
They neglected to reveal WHY the police were arrayed there. (To keep the protesters they just removed from the park from retaking it.)
They failed to tell the watchers that the police warned the protesters the gathering was illegal and they had ample time and avenues to withdraw to avoid arrest and/or injury.
They also blatantly ignored the evidence that the is was NOT a peaceful gathering with projectiles thrown at the police prior to the deployment of tear gas, flashbangs and bean bag rounds.
Our British readers may not like this statement, but the policies in England handcuff the police from doing what they need to do to disperse unlawful gatherings and hence, there were fires all over England during their last riot.
We cannot allow that to happen here in the US. Look what happened when you let the anarchists just squat in place, however contained. Imagine these maniacs on a full tear with no repercussions.
If you don’t allow the police to disperse riots, then it falls on the citizenry to put them down, and without the benefit of training or restrictions on use of force, that means armed citizens firing REAL weapons at rioters.
The body count would be atrocious but it might make the anarchists, socialists and other sundry malcontents cease and desist.

Were it up to me, I would bring in pump trucks and hose them down with human sewage.
Sure, they are used to the smell, but even these bugs wouldn’t be able to deal with that crap being shot into their faces and hopefully their mouths.
