Dianne Feinstein: Occupiers lack focus, can't continue forever
October 26, 2011 | 3:06 pm

**SNIP**

When asked during a brief session with reporters afterward whether it was time for Occupy L.A. to end, the state’s senior senator said: “I think it’s very important that people have the ability ... to utilize their First Amendment rights....I don’t think people, for example, can sleep in a square for weeks on end. You have to have some order to it.”

Do demonstrators “have the right to occupy forever? I don’t think so,” Feinstein said.

Yep, they’ve got what they wanted out of this, a shift in the media narrative away from the deficit and towards the “wealth gap” and punishing Wall Street for the meltdown.

Time to turn things back over to the well-scrubbed liars in the three-piece suits.

The protestors are exposing leftists for who they are and whom they represent,

and exposure is political death for the left.

yep, remember that the protests in the 70’s led to the landslide election victory of Nixon.

Funny how we lecture other nations and our leaders get uncomfortable when it happens to us. Example, Chinese students occupy Tienanmen Square for several months, bringing local businesses to a standstill, blockaded and pushed back convoys of Chinese police. We kept cheering the students and later local factory workers on before we all know how it ended. Now we are facing similar demonstrations (but very small in size). Now our mayors and leaders are uncomfortable and demand that the demonstrators cannot camp out (but the Chinese students in China can forever) on a public square overnight and if they do not obey, police can forcibly remove them. Imagine if OWS blockaded convoys of police, what will happen to them instantly?? Rubber bullets, tear gas and billy club. Imagine if OWS camp was the size of the Chinese ones. US gov send in gunships and airstrikes?!! If one wants to know why some people in the world do not respect our lectures because they see many of our demands as hypocritical. Freedom of religion or we punish with tariffs to one country and who cares if another country kills and arrests anyone who converts to Christianity as long as they sell us vital oil??!!!!

This is by far one of the lamest posts I have ever read on Free Republic.

Maybe you need a lesson in basic government.

Here is the distinction, comrade:

The other countries that you are complaining about are totalitarian societies with no political rights whatsoever, no constitution, no liberal democracy, and no civil society to speak of.

Now, compare that to the United States.

These worthless Occupiers have access to every instrument of power in the United States and, in fact, already control most of the Democratic Party controlled states, and these barbarians think they have the right to destroy our cities at will, because we don’t have a totalitarian Communist system to give them cradle to grave welfare because they are too lazy to do anything with their lives?

Please, don’t equate people in totalitarian societies in their quest for freedom with American liberals, Marxists, socialists, anarchists and other social parasites in their quest for economic and political totalitarianism.
