• I thought that’s what the Pilgrims did when they hauled up on Plymouth Rock and turned their back on old Europe
• I thought that’s what the colonists did when they challenged George III
• I thought that’s what the anti-slavery Americans did when they rejected slavery
• I thought that’s what settlers and pioneers did when they said good bye to cities and pushed west to find their futures
• I thought ALL well adjusted people welcomed ‘self reliance’ as the certain and final mark of maturity
