Barack Obama barely beats them in hypothetical head-to-head match-ups (and, occasionally, polls show they would beat him), but, apparently, if Hillary Clinton were to run for president on the Democratic ticket, she would make mincemeat of Mitt Romney, pommel Rick Perry and clean Herman Cain’s clock:
A national poll conducted for TIME on Oct. 9 and 10 found that if Clinton were the Democratic nominee for President in 2012, she would best Mitt Romney 55% to 38%, Rick Perry 58% to 32% and Herman Cain 56% to 34% among likely voters in a general election. The same poll found that President Obama would edge Romney by just 46% to 43%, Perry by 50% to 38% and Cain by 49% to 37% among likely voters.
Unable to analyze the methodology of the poll, I can’t vouch for its validity, but it doesn’t seem implausible. The grass is always greener …
Clinton continues to say she has no intention to run for president in 2012 or even in 2016. I wouldn’t be totally shocked if she reversed that in 2016, her age notwithstanding (she’d be 69 by the day of the vote). But, overall, I believe her — and think it’s wise of her to say no to the temptation. Think, for example, of how spectacularly Rick Perry polled before he actually entered the presidential race. As soon as Clinton appeared on the campaign trail, at least some of her would-be supporters would remember (and be turned off by) her strident tone, her unspoken pleas for power, her unoriginal and predictably liberal ideas. Unless her years under Obama really have humbled her? But, no — not when she’s managed, in those years, to become more popular than the president. Better, then, for Clinton to bask in this popularity, which could only accrue to someone decidedly outside electoral politics.
That is just plain depressing.
We can survive idiot politicians, but we won’t survive idiot voters.
Or idiots in the media that make up their own facts.
Oh oh, folks. I would not be surprised if she ran against Obama again. We must remember that career politicians have brought us to this tragic pass. Let’s get ride of career politicians and allow some fresh air into the White House with Herman Cain, the man with the good plan. Hil would just take us further into Socialism!
I wonder if Hillary has cleaned her hard drive after that mess up with that Foster guy who killed himself supposedly! She can’t be trusted anymore than the one in the WH.
To me, this shows that the Democrats are so fed up with Obama that they would even boot him out of the nest in favor of Hillary. When was the last time a sitting President was dissed like that??
I think this is great news. I think it says we can swing a lot of Independents, and maybe even some Dems.
WOW! Those statistics are frightening aren’t they, but I have to shake my head at the statement that it’s a poll apparently contracted for TIME, which is so damned Leftist, it makes it almost unbelievable.
IF THE STATS ARE TRUE we are in deep doo doo. That means the people of this Nation have their heads up and locked. Lots of work to do.
Hilliary is every bit as bad a choice to run this Nation as Obama, and we need to get the entire filthy mess of Leftist sludge out of our government as quickly as we possibly can to begin to repair the damage they’ve done domestically, and internationally.
We have to get rid of the entire lot of Socialist leeches, including the Leftist RINO’s from the Congress, and the system.

Getting back to that CBS poll from yesterday, ever wondered why Faux News reports a poll conducted by liberal CBS? Their hero Romney is leading it. That’s why. Perry barely scratches anymore. They’re happy. Faux News used to say the only poll that matters is their poll. Now liberal-driven polls are just fine with them as long as it show Romney winning. If Romney is losing Faux News will tell you how unreliable the poll is.
I think that when she’s done being Secretary of State, she will either become a commodities trading advisor or will open a sniper school in Sarajevo.
Time readers like Hillary best, but nobody with a brain reads Time, so Hillary supporters are brainless idiots.
