How to make aspirin if you are lost in the woods:

Steps
1
Rip some bark off a willow tree.

2
Start a fire.

3
Bring water to a boil.

4
Place willow tree bark into the boiling water. Use 1-2 tsp for every 8 oz of water.

5
Simmer for 10-15 minutes.

6
Steep it as you would tea for 1/2 hour. This is basically aspirin - the chemical that aspirin is made of is found in the bark of willow trees. However, it isn’t exactly aspirin, but salicylic acid, which can have more side effects.

7
Drink the 3-4 cups daily

This is bullshit.

Aspirin can lead to strokes, and also liver damage.

If you’re worried about cancer, make your body more alcaline; cancer and oxygen cannot coexist.

Cruciferous veges and hot peppers are your friends, sugar, starches and grains (not seeds or nuts) are your enemies.

Aspirin can prevent blood clots from forming in your arteries. This can prevent a heart attack or stroke.

Brand-name aspirin is no more effective than generic or store brands.

That's why I take one a day.

Aspirin, even low dosage, every day can cause microscopic colitis. The cure is simple but the discomfort monumental when it takes 6 months to diagnose.

Doesn’t say what dose. There are several with 325mg the top and 75/80 the least.

There are other things one can do to help prevent cancer...

Use coconut oil...

If you want to use a polyunsaturated oil as a food, it is worthwhile to remember what its effects are: it suppresses metabolism and promotes obesity, is immunosuppressive; causes inflammation and shock; is required for alcoholic liver cirrhosis; sensitizes to radiation damage; accelerates formation of aging pigment, cataracts, retinal degeneration; promotes free radical damage and excitoxicity; causes cancer and accelerates its growth; is toxic to the heart muscle and promotes atherosclerosis; can cause brain edema, diabetes, excessive vascular permeability, precocious puberty, progesterone deficiency, skin wrinkling and other signs of aging.

Cancer can’t occur unless there are unsaturated oils in the diet. (C. lp, et al., Cancer Res. 45, 1985.) Alcoholic cirrhosis of the liver cannot occur unless there are unsaturated oils in the diet. (Nanji and French, Life Sciences. 44, 1989.) Heart disease can be produced by unsaturated oils, and prevented by adding saturated oils to the diet. (J.K.G. Kramer, et al., Lipids 17, 372, 1983.)

I’d like to see this same study done with fish/krill oil instead of aspirin. I’d bet they’d find similar results but without the side effects.

It has often been said, and it's probably true: if aspirin had been invented today, it would probably be available by prescription only. Its effects can quite powerful, for good and/or ill.

Everyone's doctors seem to see things differently. My doc has be take one low-dose aspirin (81 mg, equal to one-quarter of a regular aspirin -- hardly seems worth the trouble) a day, in addition to a prescription for high cholesterol. For occasional aches and pains, she specifies acetaminophen, but she warns of overdosing and its possible liver damage, especially since I enjoy adult beverages; fortunately, I rarely take it -- maybe 8 tablets a month, never more than 4 within 24 hours.
