Orlando Jones, the actor and comedian, is in hot water over a tweet in which he compared former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin to Moammar Gadhafi and suggested liberals band together and kill her.
Though Jones, under a withering Internet onslaught for the idea, has been pleading he was just kidding and that he has a constitutional right to say he wishes anyone he wants to be killed, the tweet is fraught with irony.
Palin was accused of fomenting violence in the wake of the Gabrielle Giffords shooting because of a map her PAC distributed placing the congresswoman's district in cross hairs during the 2010 election cycle. While individuals and some of the conservative media have been incandescent in their outrage, the same mainstream media who took Palin to task over the cross hairs map have been strangely silent over the actual death threat directed against her.

Well, imagine that? A double standard? Color me baffled./s
But she’s irrelevant they swear...
Must be the demons inside that are still uncomfortable. They grouse and hiss and give themselves away....
ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FREE SPEEEEEEECH!!!!!
Sarah is a good shot, and Orlando would lose out badly in a confrontation with her...much less with her husband, Todd, who would chew this guy up and spit him out as a appetizer before breakfast.
Strangely silent? This is normal and expected behavior for the leftist media. There is nothing strange about it.
lol! Good point.
I’ll believe he was just kidding when he “just kids” about having the same thing happen to Dear Leader!
Well said. I would pay to see the wonderful Sarah Palin whip this young’n thug punk’s can. Hell, his butt might last longer with Todd!!!!
Remember, if it wasn’t for a double standard,
democrats would have no standards at all.
Indeed, “strangely silent?” The media has been presenting Palin in a dehumanized manner ever since 2008. Remember when that arsonist set fire to her church? Some women and children were inside at the time, and it could have easily turned into a murder scene.
And how did the media present this story? Some didn’t even report it. And the ones that did relegated it to the end of their news broadcasts, like it was a joke. I remember the smirks on the newsanchors faces as they related it. And David Letterman made some joke out of it. Something about how the police were on the lookout for “Joe the Arsonist.” Haha. Real funny. And remember the two dudes in North Hollywood who hung her likeness in effigy on their lawn as a Halloween decoration? The media shrugged it off. Anyone imagine the uproar had Obama’s church in Chicago been set on fire? Or if Michelle Obama were hung in effigy?
The media has conveyed from the very start that Palin’s life, along with the lives of her family, are of no value, and this message has become pressed onto the culture.
And by the way, don’t forget this is hardly an isolated incident. Only a few months back Christopher Titus “joked” that he’d assassinate Palin if she were elected president. And Sandra Burnhard offered if Palin set foot in NYC, she’d have her ‘black brothers’ gang-rape Palin. Add that cretin Letterman in with his rape joke about then-13 year old Willow Palin. These things are really piling up. And it’s because the media gave a green-light from the start.
Sarah Palin draws out liberals’ inner nastiness for the whole world to see. She defeats them and they don’t even realize how evil they look.
He’s one of Holder’s “people”.
What did Sheriff Dupnik say?
A double standard implies they have standards.
lol! Good point.
lol! Good point.
The left are the professionals of hatred.
He probably pals around with Chaz Bono.
Liberalism is a disease.
