So Turkey can attack Iraq where we just lost American blood? No.

How long before Turkey uses them against our ‘allies’ the Kirds of northern Iraq?

Are we supposed to like or dislike Turkey. It gets confusing sometimes.

So, Obama is reluctant to sell fighters to Taiwan, but will sell gunships to Turkey?
I just don't get it.

This may be a silly question, but why would Turkey want AHs when it is getting a derivative of the Mangusta? (Just noted the really interesting naming of the two helicopters ...the AH-1 cobra, and the Mangusta, or Mongoose, in English - and aren't mongooses supposed to be cobra killers?) Anyways, if Turkey has decided to develop the T-129, which is based on the very capable A-129 Mangusta by Italy, why would they want/need additional SuperCobras? What am I missing here?
Mangusta:

That’s not a super cobra. It’s an AH-64 Apache attack helicopter.

To attack the Kurds? Well, why not...after all, Turkey is 98.5% muslim.

This is just the camel’s nose under the tent.
What is more natural than for Obama to increase support for Turkey’s muslims as they grow more militant every day?
This is probably his way of encouraging them to stay on the path to the new militant Islamic Caliphate.
By the time this fully develops we will see Turkey using US supplied weapons to kill Israelis and Iraqis.

This is just more of this adminstrations idiocy... The only reason Turkey would want these would be to attack N Iraq.. Causing even more instability in the Middle East than his foolish actions in Libya and Egypt.
I don’t condone the Cross Border attacks coming into Turkey from Iraq, but those attacks are not state sanctions and Turkey has violated the border in response to them repeatedly. Giving them these to just escalate things is insane.
However Romper Room is beyond foolish, so who knows.

Transfer current assets as opposed to selling export versions? is this a move to export some NOFORN technology under the guise of an “emergency?”
