He is talking about kids that are going to college who were brought into Texas by their parents when they were young and have lived here most of their lives.

What crime did they commit?

They are undocumented but they are not criminals.

You think kids that were brought over the border by their parents while they were young are criminals?

Do you think kids who’s parents committed a theft makes the kids thieves too?

It is not PC - it is just a fact that they committed no crime (the kids).

Are those kids here legally or not?

Does going to college somehow make them legal?

“They are undocumented but they are not criminals.”

Yes they are.

If Mexican kids are entitled to free education in the US, why would they want to go to school in Mexico?

Dear Mom7, (First - excuse be for butting in. Now to the point)

For argument's sake let's say I agree with you -- and Perry -- about tax paying U.S. Citizens and Legal Resident Aliens of a U.S. State picking up the tab for in-state college tuition for 'children' of illegal aliens.

Then (hypothetically) in the near future I get elected Governor of Illinois -- which like Texas passed a law a few years ago giving 'children' of illegal aliens in-state college tuition (fact). However here in Illinois we have a huge problem, and that is, we are broke (another fact). We are Billions in the Red and are so broke that Contractors doing state work don't get paid, or it takes six months to a year to see some of their money if they do at all. And every year we have to borrow Billions just to pay last year's outstanding bills. Needless to say our budget hasn't been balanced since .... Blago had a crew-cut (a little humor always helps).

It then gets to the point that we (IL) can't borrow any more money or issue any Bonds and now I'm faced with tough choices and have to start cutting. Nothing is off the table and every State Program is subject to the Axe. It's funding will be cut or even eliminated. This 'drastic action' will mean thousands of people will loss their jobs, their families could go hungry or without clothes. But worse, tax paying U.S. Citizens and Legal Resident Aliens of the U.S. who really DO need help from one of those eliminated Programs will no longer be able to get it.

However, out of the blue lightening strikes and a miracle happens. Old Frank the Bookkeeper over at the State Treasurer's Office gets out his crank handled adding machine and starts going through the books. VIOLA! He finds that the cost of in-state college tuition for 'children' of illegal aliens, plus all their ancillary costs to the state from those children's families is what's making Illinois bankrupt. And if we just eliminated that 'freebie' by repealing that law and treated those 'children' like any other foreign student the Budget could be balanced.

Because not only would those college students be paying higher tuition, but since they are not supposed to be here in the first place, many illegal alien families, including these 'children', would just pack up and go back to Mexico, or wherever they came from. They would self-deport en masse. This self-deportation action now relieves the state of the cost burden placed on Elementary Schools, Police and Fire Departments, Hospitals and Clinics, and on the State Programs originally meant to help tax paying U.S. Citizens and Legal Resident Aliens which now, would NOT have to be eliminated (see: ancillary costs).

Now this would surly be considered by some as 'heartless', 'bigoted', and 'racist' by the bleeding heart leftists, the open-no border crowd, and RINOs. But my responsibility as the Governor of my state is first to The People of Illinois. Which means in English: Tax paying U.S. Citizens and Legal Resident Aliens.

I know this will not sway any of you Perrybots. You will defend Perry to the end on this (and all his blunders). Just keep in mind that Texas isn't the only state with this 'illegal freebie'. But unlike Texas WE in IL had it shoved down our throats by the Daley Machine puppets in Springfield and his IL GOP RINO cohorts. And WE don't like it one fricken bit!

Also, with this Texas freebie for 'children of illegals' -- what's the difference, if any, if the 'child' is from Mexico (or any Hispanic descent), China, Burma, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Yeman, Syria, Bhutan, Angola, or .. Burkina Faso (Upper Volta)? Are Texas' arms and colleges open to any illegal 'child', or only Mexicans.

Lastly, 'if' every illegal in IL - all Two Million of them at least - decided to Move To Texas for the College Freebie how would you like that? Are you ready to open your pockets wider and dig deeper for cash. As I'm suuuuure your TAXES wouldn't go UP that much. Or better yet, every illegal in the USA moved to Texas, all Thirty Million of them. How'd you 'guys like that? (LOL)
