What would you know - the MSM has suddenly discovered states' rights is good! The gun banners are suddenly passionate advocates of respecting federalism and local rule. What they really hate is that you get to keep your Second Amendment rights no matter where you are in America. No wonder the National Reciprocity Act sticks in their craw. Its just headed for the House floor. The Boston Globe wants the Senate to kill it. They'll probably succeed - but its an idea whose time has come.

If this bill is brought up in the Senate, John Kerry and Scott Brown and every other right-thinking senator should vote against it. Right-thinking? I wish the Boston Globe would stop forcing their damn religious beliefs about right and wrong on the rest of us. ;-)

This is not a states rights issue, but a Constitutional issue. The Second Amendment applies to ALL states and citizens. What part of Shall not be infringed do they not understand?

Utah, a state with notably lax standards for concealed-carry permits, Clueless reporter alert. Of all the CCWs available to out of state residents, Utah is one of the most difficult. It requires a state certified instructor, a set number of hours for the course and live fire proficiency.

I’m signed up for a Utah license course/class at local Cabelas in two weeks, but somehow getting one just doesn’t motivate me to consider visiting Massachusetts. `
