SO? George Will finally said something right...he still is more Establishment than he was conservative years ago...but he’s right on point
Political cross dresser George Will is wrong
starting from his premise that
backstabbing, carpetbagger Romney is
“the Republican most electable”.
The maliciousness of Will the RINO is demonstrated
in that Romney is NEITHER ‘Republican’
nor the ‘most electable’.
This is a very important column.
The zeitgeist is penetrating the GOP Citadel.
Will should eschew obfuscation.
Romney is a RINO if there is such a thing. His entire “secret to success” is to be as much like jello as possible. The more I look into him, the less I like, albeit he does a good job trying to sell himself as a “true Conservative” now that he's on the national stage. It's obvious he's well funded and he's getting his message out, but if you actually do any sort of research beyond the sound bites of adds, floods of pro Romney youtube adds, sudden appearance of pro Romney websites... you see his views, his past decisions as governor... are not at all in line with traditional conservative ideas.
Pro abortion
Pro centralized/government run health Care
Pro amnesty for illegals
Thinks we can fix and sort of jazz up Social Security
Anti gun and at least years back proud of it
Believes in “Global Warming” when that was a big fad
Romney is reinventing himself in front of our very eyes.
I like this part:
"A straddle is not a political philosophy; it is what you do when you do not have one. It is what Romney did when he said that using Troubled Assets Relief Program funds for the General Motors and Chrysler bailouts was the wrong source for that funding. Oh, so the source was the bailouts defect."
Romney is such a complete fraud and phony.
Good article.
I get really exasperated with people who read an article - or more accurately, read the author’s name - and spend the entire thread spewing juvenile insults to show you how much they hate the author, regardless of what he has actually said.
But aside from that, this article brings up something important, which is that a Romney candidacy would probably have a depressing effect on efforts to elect conservatives to other offices, too. I don’t think he has a remote chance of winning the general election, even if he is the candidate, but he’s certainly going to do a lot to destroy the conservative momentum in the GOP.
“...thereby seeming to lack the courage of his absence of convictions.”
That’s a keeper. It becomes my new tagline.
