Yep. About 25 percent from the Western hemisphere. And Iran has established a military presence adjacent to all those sources. We’re still relying on imports for about 50%of our oil needs. Still comfortable with not drilling here. Not drilling now? Perhaps you were too young to remember the Arab Oil Embargo?

I worked for an oil company during that embargo. Let's put the situation in perspective. Last year, we imported only about 25% of our oil from the eastern hemisphere. That will be covered with the Keystone XL pipeline and other oil from our nearest neighbor to the north. As for "drill here, drill now" is a political slogan from socialist government income recipients (including local), who refuse to acknowledge that we are already drilling here and will do so more.

We don't have an oil problem. We have a problem with traitors--stale bunches of out-of-touch, spoiled weirdos, who love foreign communist nations more than ours and the local, yocal socialists, who suck up to the aforementioned by regulating against any new, small manufacturing operations in their locales. Lack of manufacturing and too many social pathologies in policies. Those are the problems that will be corrected in the near future because of our lack of buying or working for enemies within.
