He stood his ground for sure. If anyone ever doubted he would stand firm on conservative fiscal policies, they could have no doubt of that after this. Perhaps more will take a closer look at the “Cut, Balance, and Grow” Perry plan and see that his leadership will be one of fiscal responsibility and conservative principles and ideals.

And I think we have a marathon runner here too. :)

Now compare that character to the interview you saw today with Rick Perry on the Chris Wallace Fox News Sunday show.

Chris Wallace was trying desperately to pin Perry down with a supposed problem.. Wallace told Perry the government wouldn’t be getting as much money as it had previous been getting, wouldn’t that be a problem, Wallace was insisting.

And Perry looked Chris Wallace in the eye and said something to the effect “It’s about time we stopped giving all our money to the federal government and reduced their spending, and that’s what we are going to do.”

Not his exact words, but that was exactly the sentiment he got across far and wide.

He was... Rick Perry today in that interview. Those who didn’t know him before can now at least see a glimpse of what we see of him day in and day out. He is a true conservative and a wise leader.

Just saw Rick Perry’s interview from today. He did an excellent job. Wallace is a weasel though.

I am thinking it was probably a good thing that Wallace was a weasel. It gave Perry a chance to show what he really is made of, and it gave us a chance at seeing that.

There were a lot of people praying for Governor Perry today, some entire internet groups were praying for him before and during that interview. While they maybe didn't realize their prayers may have required a weaseling Chris Wallace, God knew what was needed!
