Its actually not nothing, its classic sexual harassment if it is true.
I am willing to give Cain a pass on it. I had very few bosses who did not go there. Most let it slide after they saw I wasn’t playing. The only one I reported was the one whom I gave three chances to. “if this happens again, I will report you” was said to him 2x. After the 3rd proposition, I reported him. We need this guy in the white house. He’s a bold conservative. Newt did worse. Obama did worse.
Correct. I remember attending,in the early 90’s, during a company convention..a required workshop on sexual harassment..it was just starting to be an issue in the corporate workplace...some outside consultant gave it..the usual examples about improper and suggestive comments, touching...and at the end..during the Q&A, some senior VP..who obviously been bending a few elbows, raised his hand and said..”but you didn’t tell me HOW to get sexually harassed.”..most everyone laughed..six months later..he “retired.”..
I’d like to see Cain there ahead of Perry, Romney and, of course, Obama, but he really hasn’t been through sufficient vetting yet.
(And yes, there is a double standard, the GOP has to be able to withstand a media onslaught that Obama will never face.)
I agree that the reported level of harassment, whether true or not, is pretty common. To me what looks way more problematic is if he as the head of the trade group made the payments but members of the board at the time were, as they are claiming, unaware of it. That is not garden variety and would, I would think, be a major issue.
