We both know how the used gun trade works and we both know how felons get their hands on cheap handguns and we both know that melting down those cheap handguns helps keep those felons from obtaining guns with which to perpetrate violent crimes against decent law abiding citizens. Yeah, we do know how the used gun trade works - a criminal breaks into a house, steals one-or-more guns and sells it/them to other criminals. That’s how criminals get their hands on cheap handguns.
I defy you to demonstrate a single instance of a criminal selling a functional gun to a “gun buy-back”.
