Had a 25 year old woman who worked for me once who was on her 4th divorce and was looking for husband number five. Some men vendors told me they would no longer come to the office unless I was there because she was always hitting on them. A new building was under construction and she was constantly hitting on the construction workers.
One day I called her on something she had done wrong and reminded her that she’d been told about it earlier. As I was leaving the office later in the day I said to her “Don’t be talking to those construction workers today. You’re not here to find a husband.”
The next day my boss walked in and placed a paper in front of me and asked me to read it. It was the company policy on sexual harrassment. I read it and said “So?”
He then showed me a letter the woman had faxed to him complaining that I had been talking to her about her dating habits and she considered it sexual harrassment. I blew my top and told them all to stick it and walked out. A week later they figured out that she was lying and asked me to come back. I turned them down. It took them 6 months to get rid of her.
I believe that there are mentally ill women who for some reason feel all men have an interest in them, whether real or fancied.
They tend to enjoy the drama at the expense of their victims.
