Juries aren't perfect - they're just better than any of the other options. I agree. Even so, all too many juries are composed of people who had nothing better to do, or who couldn't get out of jury duty. Even for people for whom it would be a sacrifice, I think it's important to serve on a jury.
How's this for a slogan: "Raise the average quality of juries. Serve on one."
