I’m just asking, but wouldn’t the increased atmopheric water vapor resulting from global warming work to temper extreme weather changes?

This planet was designed to be a huge buffered system, capable of absorbing and nullifying the effects of changes in inputs.
Further, the rules governing how such systems act and react were designed specifically to make this place liveable for us.
