Lefty media pounce on vague allegations
Boston Herald ^ | 11/1/01 | Howie Carr

I don’t know what Herman Cain did or didn’t do at the National Restaurant Association, and neither do you.

But I can quote you some of what the journalistic common nightwalkers of Politico said in their alleged blockbuster: “There were also descriptions of physical gestures that were not overtly sexual but that made women who experienced or witnessed them uncomfortable.”

Not overtly sexual? That could mean anything. Please pass the salt. Get me Joe on the phone. How ’bout them Steelers?

Do you remember this exact same point in the 2008 campaign? The National Enquirer had just started running their exclusive stories on John Edwards, who had a pregnant flower-child girlfriend on his campaign staff. So Edwards got his top aide to lie that he had knocked up the hippie chick, while the ex-senator was running around trying to get a 100-year-old woman to give him more hush money.

The mainstream media knew it was all true. But they wouldn’t say boo. Edwards was one of the Beautiful People. He’s a Democrat, and his upcoming trial on corruption charges changes nothing.

Can the moonbats possibly despise Herman Cain any more than they already do? On Friday, a former DNC spokesman said Republicans love Cain because “he’s a black man who knows his place.”

She said this on MSNBC, which employs one Al Sharpton. This man of God made his bones touting Tawana Brawley, who falsely accused a group of white men of raping her.

There’ve been a lot of these sorts of allegations — Clarence Thomas 20 years ago, more recently the Duke lacrosse team. And now we have another high-tech lynching, as Thomas put it. And Cain knew it was coming.

Funny, isn’t it? Cain is accused of “gestures that were not overtly sexual” and he’s the lead story on every left-wing newscast (or do I repeat myself)? Ted Kennedy killed a woman, and if you ever deigned to bring it up, you were dismissed as a “hater.”

Remember Juanita Broaddrick? She claimed she was violently raped by Bill Clinton in a Little Rock hotel room? She gave an interview to NBC in which she said that while he was forcibly taking her, he had controlled her by biting her lower lip and drawing blood. And after finishing with her, she said the future president told her, “Better put some ice on that.”

NBC had that on videotape but refused to run it. Herman Cain, accused by unnamed employees of vague allegations, got no such courtesies last night.

The only question now is, which party put out the contract to Politico? Doesn’t really matter, I suppose, if you’re Cain. Better put some ice on it, Herman.

Cain just had his biggest fundraising day. Ha, goes to show how much a non-issue this is.

Any woman, any time she wants, for any reason she wants, can accuse a man of making a gesture that, while not overtly sexual, made them uncomfortable. They don’t need any witnesses, and they don’t need any facts to back them up. The man doesn’t even have to know he did it.

The GOPbot Establishement and Karl Rove better buy a clue. They have everyone from Rush Limbaugh to Sean Hannity defending Cain.

REALLY stupid politic move by the GOP machine on this one. Instead of “getting Cain” they have given him a serious boost.

When the dust settled, Cain still had a job, which I'd guess is more than can be said for those who were 'settled with'.

Usually, if there is an 'offense', the offender is outa there!

Yep, the MSM is so fair, balanced and unbiased:

So, Mr. Cain, have you stopped sexually harassing women... and beating your wife?

People autoatically assume that when a person is accused of wrongdoing, then the accusation must be true. It all sounds to me like a disgruntled former employee was trying to extort money from her former employer. It’s unfortunate that the association did settle some money on the accuser. However, there are times when it is more prudent and cost effective to settle than spend large amounts of money on a trial and maybe an appeal. A settlement does not necessarily mean there was any wrongdoing.

Unfortunately, many people are not aware of how the legal system works, and Rev. Cain has many enemies willing to exploit that ignorance in order to bring him down. And IMHO those enemies are members of Rev. Cain’s own party.

Which party, Howie?

Which party?

Why would Obama do it NOW? (He would not).

When I worked in corporate America, my bosses made me uncomfortable plenty of times:

“Where’s your report?”

“What’s this item on your expense account?”

“It’s 10:00 AM and you’re just getting here?”

I don’t have to tell you what would have happened had I tried to make an issue out of this “discomfort.”

What do we have here?
....a false charge of sexual innuendo is promoted to sexual harassment, presumed to true and then equated to the psycho-killer behavior....

Al Sharpton failed to note his guest’s obvious racism in Shrum and Milbanks statements.

As an accused Sexual Harasser, I can see how Cain got into such serious trouble.

I was actually reported for saying: "Helen, you look fabulous today. Great dress."
The object of my vicious attack was an extremely "chubby" young, spike-coiffed woman with unshaven limbs and some beautiful tattoos, who usually presented herself at work in leather and chains.

My advice to Herman? Bit'em on the lip, beat'em up, have your way with'em, and deny everything. I know it sounds rough, but it worked for Bill Clinton. If all else fails, register as a Democrat.

Sean Hannity defending Cain.

Sean's brain is a merely the life support system for his hair. Please have him stifled or we'll never see Herman again!

Yesterday on the CNN Ed show they were blatantly saying Cain used his
hands "inappropriately touched" these women. No proof, no facts, they
were sitting there just spouting commentary back and forth.

The MSM is running this for all it's worth, including outright lies.

Sometimes an accusation like this is made by an employee that is facing termination for other reasons. A really big charge against a manager needs to be investigated & disposed of before the employee gets shown the door. This can take a long time and can bring in some additional money as well.

Remember the Duke lacrosse case? Nancy Grace was convinced they were guilty. Except, as Jon Stewart pointed out, “they ...didn’t do it”. So how did Grace address the issue on her
very next show?

“Good evening, I’m Jane Velez-Mitchell, in tonight for Nancy Grace...”

The FBI found Juanita's story 'credible' but the MSM refused to cover it.

That's the story. The MSM refused to cover a credible rape charge against Bill Clinton when he was running for President..

Every time - EVERY TIME - the Cain charge is brought up - WE NEED TO TALK ABOUT Juanita's RAPE - and the MSM cover-up of that rape charge - the 60 Minutes cover up of Flowers - and all the rest of the press 'dem butt kissing' that goes on. I suspect they'll shut down the story rather that deal with their own faults...

Obvious, but only after you stated it. Like all great ideas.

Erin Matson, a vice president for the National Organization for Women, said the women in question should be given the benefit of the doubt.

Why? Apparently NOW is selective about who gets the presumption of innocence.

"It is deeply insulting that this is being called political," Matson said. "Sexual harassment allegations are always about a woman who is simply trying to go to work."

Complete and utter BS. There are all kinds of motivations for these complaints, and some of them are truly disgraceful.
