Hope it passes with flying colors. Unfortunately, some federal scumbag judge will throw it out just like they always do.

“Unfortunately, some federal scumbag judge will throw it out just like they always do.”

Then Mississippi should sit back and wait for an abortion to take place and then arrest and prosecute that judge as an accessory to murder. And then ignore any habeus corpus orders from the Federal bench as a conflict of interest.

They'll certainly try. It should be interesting watching the contortions they're likely to come up with in order to do so.

The first I heard of this way out here in Arizona was on a friend’s Facebook the other day. This friend (who is actually a relative of a friend) is against the amendment. She fears that women could bleed to death due to a natural abortion because there won’t be any doctors willing to perform a D&C. I don’t know enough about how the amendment is written to determine if she is right or not. The 20+ replies to her post were from women who agreed with her. (I really should stop posting here before I say something I’ll regret. But I just can’t stop myself. :) These particular women remind me of the unlikable characters in The Help. Hypocrites all.)

*sigh*

Anything to stop making abortion illegal. Make up some hypothetical situation and run with it like Chicken Little.

Women die from botched legal abortions. Where is all the concern about those deaths as opposed to some hypothetical death that has not occurred yet?

Where are people’s brains?

Excellent! People standing UP for life! Doesn't matter if the outcome is not assured; wars are one not by the battle. And standing up for LIFE is the right thing regardless of the outcome. But - more and more people are waking up to the evil that is abortion. More women die from legal abortion than they ever died from illegal ones. The more abortions, the more deaths of the mothers. It's dangerous for everyone and of course most of all the innocent babies.

Please clarify, I thought Roe v. Wade left it up to each state. If a state says it is illegal the fed can't step in.

Sadly, the pro-abortion movement is confusing the voters by saying that the law, as written, is so vague that women who have had miscarriages could be prosecuted for homicide. They’re also claiming that the people behind the law want to deny birth control pills, because they might be abortifacient. There are many who believe that, but it’s extremely unlikely it could ever get passed into law; not in this day and age.

I bet it passes.

The only opposition I saw there last week was in the uber lefty Jackson Free Press and probably a handful of libs within walking distance of Fondren in Jackson or Square Books in Oxford.

This is an issue with 89% GOP voting white population of MS and many of the rural church going blacks agree..like being anti Homo marriage too

you can bank on this one

Omigosh!

Everyone out here wants to know why I’m going home.

This is a MAJOR reason! Other than black-eyed peas, and people who are friendly with one another, no matter their race.

God love and protect Mississippi!

And, I thank God for technology!
