Likewise, FUKR is shorthand for Freep You Karl Rove for pushing that abortionist, gun grabbing, homosexual marriage pushing, socialist healthcare pimping liberal progressive RINO on America!! And I mean that with all my heart!! Life and Liberty are gifts from God and Romney tramples on them at will.

FUMR!!

“I agree... but, didn’t really want to go there. Showing lack of hatred for Mormons is equally dangerous.... “

Truth be told if Romney was doing as his religion said and was pro life, among other things, I would have no problem with the fact he is Mormon. I don’t have to agree with the Mormon church, and I don’t have to be a member. I do however want a presidential candidate who follows his/her religion. I also prefer a Christian president over the Muslim one we have now.

In my opinion Romney needs to start going to his church and do some soul searching. Glenn Beck is a Mormon and I would vote him president in a New York minute!

I have read every one of your posts in this thread and stayed quiet until now. Take your accusations of hate and cram them. Disagreeing with Mormon theology is not hate. Distrusting a weasel who happens to claim to be a Mormon but rejects many of their core beliefs is not hate. If you can't make that distinction, go over to DU.

Unions
Gays in the Boy Scouts
Gays in the military
Government mandates
Socialized healthcare

you are running under the impression that Romney has already locked in the nomination,

Your ability to make illogical leaps is quite amazing... I never said anything to give anyone that impression. Quite the opposite.

clearly infers your support for Romney over the more qualified candidates.

There are NO "more qualified" candidates... However, there are OTHER qualified candidats that I find far more preferable.

Somehow, I suspect someone foaming at the mouth is not going to be capable of understanding that distinction.

YIKES!!

I love Glenn Beck... Watch him still on the web 3-4 times a week. But, I don't think I'd be voting for him to be President. He cries too much. ;-)

Maybe.... Chief of Staff? ;-)

I respect your logic for not supporting Romney, but supporting him if he gets the nomination. I did the same thing for McCain last year.

But here is the problem. The GOP E knows this. So, they take us for granted and do what they can (just watch FoxNews and Rove) to eliminate all conservatives.

So, I think it is beneficial for the GOP E to understand that if they choose to foist Romney on us and thus give us Obama, we will survive.

Romney will never beat Obama, he doesn’t have the ObamaCare issue and he will be on the defensive against a multitude of serious flip flops and liberal positions such as abortion, global warming, gay marriage, RomneyCare.

You read every one of my posts, but weren't motivated to respond until I made a joke about "Mormon Hatred"? That's interesting.

There's a fine line between "disagreeing", and "Hatred". Well, actually... it's not all THAT fine. I see plenty of BOTH on FR. And, I know them when I see them.

NO THANKS on the DU suggestion. Know much about them, do you? ;-)

You dragged the derogatory remarks into it. You were the one saying Romney isn’t Christian and then making those remarks were ironic to say the least.

So yeah, I brought them into it based on your comments.

On the other portion of my comments, yes..it’s an “IF” argument. He hasn’t won the nomination. I suspect he will, but whomever wins I will vote for over Obama. Its quite simple.

For those of you that will vote for only one type of person and choose to sit it out, you will have done what supposedly you are 100% against...the re-election of the nation’s leading liberal. The irony is incredible.

Not really Elsie. I want to defeat Obama. I’m a realist. I know a 3rd party candidate can’t beat Obama. I do know the GOP nominee can beat Obama, whether that’s Cain, Romney or whomever. But that person can only win if people choose to get rid of Obama.

You look at it as a vote for Romney. I look at it as a vote against Obama. To each their own.

We are in a big disagreement there. I have a hard time seeing a strong conservative defeating Obama and every poll shows it right now. The only GOP candidate that leads Obama in some polls or is within striking distance in the one that folks here cringe the most about.

I certainly understand your GOP E concerns. I long ago left the GOP and have been an independent for over a decade because the party is so jacked. That being said, it’s the only party in a two party system that can defeat the Democrats. In 1992 I voted 3rd party as a “protest” vote and I have said ever since I would never do that again. Protest votes end up delivering the worst of consequences.

Elsie — what does this have to do with me? I already said I KNOW what Mormons are and I oppose them as a deviant and abberant religion having split from Biblical Christianity.

What Sand Bar Lake agreed with (I think) me about was that I didn’t believe that all Mormons everywhere were necessarily therefore not good Americans and therefore unworthy to be engaged in debate, to be called Conservatives, and to hold office.

Jim Rob is going to do whatever he wants — he’s proven that before. I think a ban of this sort sets a bad precedent, I believe that’s all Sand Bar Lake was saying. How’d we get back to “you are in TROUBLE”!? Especially since I’ve explained myself in a fairly detailed way, and I didn’t think we were that far apart....?
