Problems at San Onfre nuke plant
Screw warning anybody, I’m goin lootin.
Look it up I drive by it all the time
Here is a link to the International Nuclear Events Scale.

Looks like it is below “accident”.
I wonder what they had rated Fukushima?
Fitting that it was once a nude beach.
I covered an ammonia leak back in newspaper days. Ammonia leaks can be nasty.
Here is the Wikipedia on level three:
“Level 3: Serious incidentImpact on people and environment
Exposure in excess of ten times the statutory annual limit for workers.
Non-lethal deterministic health effect (e.g., burns) from radiation.
Impact on radiological barriers and control
Exposure rates of more than 1 Sv/h in an operating area.
Severe contamination in an area not expected by design, with a low probability of significant public exposure.
Impact on defence-in-depth
Near accident at a nuclear power plant with no safety provisions remaining.
Lost or stolen highly radioactive sealed source.
Misdelivered highly radioactive sealed source without adequate procedures in place to handle it.”
I went to a nude wedding at the beach in the late 70’s came within an inch of being best man
Drove by San Onfre many a times when I lived in California.
LOL!
My son and his family live a wee bit north in San Clemente.
“Fitting that it was once a nude beach.”
There is a nude beach just south of there.
The fisherman in the area call them “Dolly Partons”.
So you also believe them when they say its nothing to worry about?
Never seen that one around here. I live in Tallahassee, 50 miles from the coast. Anytime theres a hurricane in the gulf some idiot in the state sends out an email to thousands of state employees saying, A hurricane is coming. Go fill your gas tanks now as there will be a gas shortage. This creates mass panic. When thousands of state employees and the people they call and forward the email to go to fill their tanks (while still on the clock, Im told) then, guess what!? There IS a gas shortage. It will be a week, minimum, before the gas stations have gas again.
Due to near universal fear of liability everybody defaults to calling the worst possible outcome. So, Im not concerned that if they say; nothing to worry about.
San Juan Capistrano? We are a bit more north from there, up the 5.
I love San Juan Capistrano and Sarducci’s. We live on the East Coast so every visit to that area is a joy.
They should have given it an English name.
Is it on the fault?
Yes Bush’s
