Here is a link to the International Nuclear Events Scale.

http://www-ns.iaea.org/tech-areas/emergency/ines.asp

Looks like it is below “accident”.

I wonder what they had rated Fukushima?

Fitting that it was once a nude beach.

I covered an ammonia leak back in newspaper days. Ammonia leaks can be nasty.

I no longer believe “authorities” when they declare a condition or alert. So you also believe them when they say its nothing to worry about?

“Fitting that it was once a nude beach.”

There is a nude beach just south of there.

“So you also believe them when they say its nothing to worry about?”

Never seen that one around here. I live in Tallahassee, 50 miles from the coast. Anytime there’s a hurricane in the gulf some idiot in the state sends out an email to thousands of state employees saying, “A hurricane is coming. Go fill your gas tanks now as there will be a gas shortage.” This creates mass panic. When thousands of state employees and the people they call and forward the email to go to fill their tanks (while still on the clock, I’m told) then, guess what!? There IS a gas shortage. It will be a week, minimum, before the gas stations have gas again.

Due to near universal fear of liability everybody defaults to calling the worst possible outcome. So, I’m not concerned that if they say; nothing to worry about.

I love San Juan Capistrano and Sarducci’s. We live on the East Coast so every visit to that area is a joy.
