“Quick...Call in all the Perry Shills! Hurry up will ya!”

Just as I don’t hold it against Perry, didn’t hold it against Reagan, I won’t hold it against Cain.

Why assume your fellow FReepers are hypocrites?

Many of us voted Democrat when we were younger and stupider.

I’d only have a pause if he was a recent convert, or if he kept going back and forth.

Just wondering how all the “Perry supported Gore in ‘88, so I'll never vote for him” people will deal with this little piece of info.

LOL! Ignore and make excuses...as always...like his support for Romney last time.

I have never seen anything like it!

The sad fact is Cain planned to throw what black vote he could to Romney from zero AND Perry. Why he insisted on galvanizing the Latino vote back to Perry via the ‘fry em on the fence’ soap opera is weird.

The Elites really haven’t thought the last year and next year through. When zero is gone, and 3/4 of the States RED, and the Senate red, they’re going to be in a world of hurt trying to play their race and class cards.

Come on, BLOWOUT 2012!

That’s the down side of wikipedia. Someone wanted to give Cain credit for defeating hillarycare — probably a supporter. So they edited the wikipedia page to add a large section crediting Cain. But you do need a source.

So they chose an editorial written by liberals Bob Cohn and Eleanor Clift, trying to write both a post-mortem AND save the democrats from a crushing electoral defeat.

I have no reason to particularly believe their analysis. On the other hand, the “John” they mentioned in the piece you quoted (that was the piece quoted in Wikipedia) was given a lot more credit in the actual piece than Herman Cain.

The one thing this does do though is give me a contemporaneous citation of Herman Cain as being part of the equation.

I used to vote for “the man” not the party until I figured out they voted like Nancy Pelosi if they were Democrats. I sort of got smarter then.

In the twitter world - The Perry dudes are blaming the Romney dudes and going back and forth on who gave the oppo to the tards at politico (they are way to lazy to do this kind of work). Same problemo on freerepublic too.

I’ve been warning of this for several weeks now, that CAIN was about to get Palin’d...

For instance, all I have heard for the last two days, on the cable nets, the network evening news, on my iPhone news updates, my twitter feed, and the Hourly Radio News breaks, is about Cain and his sexual harrassment.

Cain, like Sarah before him, is an existential threat to the Democrat Party’s very existence.

Without the slave black vote, Democrats become a smear in the pages of history, and they know it.

Cain’s Plantation Rhetoric has them in a real tizzy, because it’s based on rhetoric that DEMOCRAT Radical Blacks use to silence dissent from other blacks, very effectively.

Now that Cain has become a real threat to Obama, the power base of the Race Hustlers, and the Dems inner-city vote, HE MUST BE DESTROYED.

The gays running the New York Times know this, and the queers at CNN and MSNBC know this, too.

Get ready for Cain to be Palin’d, and you won’t be hearing a SINGLE cry of “RACISM!” from any of the usual suspects, either. After all, he is just an escaped slave from the Democrat Plantation.

I’d tell you to carry on, but your candidate is already carrion.

Actually I voted for Dukakis in ‘88, and Perot in ‘92. I never cared for GHW Bush. Clinton made me a conservative.

NOT MONDALE!!!!! LOL

Love you, Sister_T....I also quit voting DemoRats and have registered as an Independent and judge by character. Cain still seems the best of all the politicians... No politician is without something negative, though—

I just want to steer clear of the Marxist/socialists and vote for the one who loves free markets and Capitalism and understand the Christian standards that our legal system was built on.....That Objective Truth-—there is a Right and Wrong and it is the standard of God-—the Bible—which has been our standard for determining laws until the socialist/Marxists have tried to destroy it...and put God in the closet, as they let out and glorify evil and instill barney frank’s disgusting standards and rub our children’s noses in it.

They are out to corrupt and pervert all our children...time to destroy DOE and take back this country before we have a million more godless zombies that the public schools puke out each year because of teachers telling them there is no right and wrong and govt. theft is good and to pray to mother earth.

Man they are REALLY desperate (regarding the Conservative Frontrunner/Outsider Herman Cain). Notice the timing. It’s good Herman goes through this though, because they will throw even much worse things at him in the matchup, Lord willing, against Obongo in the General Election. This is just training wheels stuff. Reagan had to endure it too. But I must say, it is just a tad bit irritating, like backporch summer mosquitoes I guess, albeit surmountable and will evaporate in the next news cycle.

This just in: Herman Cain brushed his dog’s fur in the WRONG DIRECTION!!!!!

Seriously, how can I fault him for that vote, when I didn’t know any better - was apolitical if not liberal at the time - and voted for Clinton then too!

One bright note, Cain raised $250,000 Monday, which was double his normal donations and someone just said he raised $400,000 Tuesday. Strong polling from Rasmussen and Newsmax too: http://www.newsmax.com/Surveys/Results/id/36

People are rallying behind him. I believe people are rallying behind Cain.

I thought about voting for Clinton in ‘92. For about 30 seconds. I could see what a sleaze he was even though I was still pretty liberal. I had no idea just how MUCH of a sleaze he turned out to be. I never dreamed that I’d ever be “nostalgic” for him after the Obama disaster. Someone posted that they could accept Clinton tax rates, as long as we had Clinton spending levels. Have to agree.

Well, I didn’t live in the country at the time, and Newsweek International was my main source of news. Is it any wonder I thought he’d be good? He was youngish and kind of charming if slick. I had NO IDEA how quickly I would come to regret my vote. And around then I became a conservative. So I have to give Clinton (and Gore - the internet was just starting for me) some credit for bringing me here.

BFD!!!

The first time I voted in a Presidential election, I voted for LBJ.

SO WHAT?

Of course I was in the USAF and knew squat about politics.

Haven't voted to a Demo-Rat since!

Can anyone say Cain is being "Palinized?"

So did I! This is really old news and has no bearing on today.

A person’s views can change in 20 years! Will the MSM next report Cain beat his wife?

Go figure.

He may have voted for Clinton...I don’t care.

He showed up when it mattered...during Clinton’s Town Hall on Hillarycare, and utterly destroyed Clinton. That was before Dole had his turn at bat.

That was my first introduction to Herman Cain, and I’m glad it wasn’t my last.
