Um, yeah, a whole bunch of people voted for the Dems in the past and have come around of late.

I’ve got problems with Cain, but throwing out the idea he voted for Clinton or other Dems 20 years is not one of them in all honesty.

Hell, I voted for the Dem Sheriff candidate in the last local election because he was a damned sight better person than the GOP option. Are national Dems today worth that same damn? Largely no. Were they 20 years ago? Somewhat.

Herman Cain having voted for a Democrat in the last couple of decades is not a deal-killer by any means.

Anyone else?

Years ago I went for Stevenson against Ike when Ike injected USA troops in Lebanon. When Stevenson publicly supported Ike’s decision I wrote Stevenson a letter telling him of my disappointment and reasons. In a very cordial response Stevenson said it was everybody’s duty to support POTUSA at such a time. From that I learned politics is more important than conscience. When Goldwater and Reagan came on the scene it was easy to me to change but to this day it is my thoughts that for some things some political parties will always act the same

I have written in the names of Priests, that I don’t know - may have been democrats. But I have always voted for a Republican to be President.

At this point I can go with either Cain or Perry.
