The Oakland Police Officers Association just sent an Open Letter to the Citizens of Oakland exposing what appears to be a corrupt effort by the mayors office of the City of Oakland to direct public employees to support the Occupy Oakland Stop Work general strike on Wednesday, Nov. 2.
But in the State of California, giving public employees free time off is the crime of the theft of time. Furthermore, the mayor and staff who planned or facilitated this action would also be personally liable to financially reimburse the city for improper use of city time.

Does this mean the mayor is a “Time Bandit”?
I skimmed an article yesterday which mentioned that some Oakland ‘officials’ suggested that city workers use sick/comp/vacation time in order to participate in the ‘strike’ *with pay*...
My thought at the time was that this is going to follow the precedent set by Wisconsin teachers earlier in the year - but this time, it seems, there might be some backlash...
Pass the popcorn....
Right now the dirtiest job in America is being a police officer in Oakland, with a whack-job Mayor as your boss.
Obama has been using these to drum up sympathy for his cause, and it's time to make him own them.
Start calling them what they really are:
Spread the meme....
The establishment and OWS are on the same side, why is anyone surprised?

Which raises the question, were the Wisconsin University Dr’s writing phony excuses ever prosecuted or disciplined?
The cops should have bided their time, and said nothing. They would have had the opportunity to bend a night stick over the mayor’s head during the protest, and arrest her and her cronies for felony theft.

As far as I’ve heard (and maybe someone from Wisconsin will correct me) - nope...
That’s part of the ‘precedent’ that I alluded to - misuse/abuse of Government funds, in the furtherance of Leftist Causes - is considered exempt from prosecution, or even, apparently, criticism... ;)
The mayor's trying to manage the protests for political gain, probably under orders from the Democratic party leadership, and it's like herding cats. When they finally lose control, it's going to end violently.
An employee who uses sick time to attend the rally could face penalties. There would be no legal or civil problem using comp time or vacation time to attend the rally.
Yes, I think the Oakland mayor will be immensely embarrassed at the end of the day.
Oakland Gubamint has been OCCUPY'd for years by lefties.. and commies.
Without O's assist, they wouldn't be out in force as they are.. and with collaboration from high office.
