I’m ready to go back to the 60s...if he wasn’t getting more action than MLK, the shut up!
Or the 90s - if he hasn’t paid more than Jesse Jackson, shut up!
Or the Clinton rule - If he didn’t promote any women way above her ability level, then shut up!
The $35,000 "settlement".
Every lawyer and HR manager who has commented on the case -- and I've heard over a dozen -- have stated that $35,000 is the standard for a "nuisance" settlement.
Reason being that the insurance companies have identified that the minimum cost for opening a court case on sexual harassment charges is...$35,000. This has apparently been the standard for the last twenty years.
Thus, a settlement of $35,000 represents the employer's minimum cost in a "nuisance" settlement. The plaintiff will end up clearing about $17-18,000 after legal fees (30-40%) and paying her 50% share of the investigative costs (dualing depositions, etc.).
lot of smoke here....Cain either explains precisely what the “is” is here....or he’s drip drip
doesn’t matter who or how or all that background but we have to know everything about the clamour....now
and if there is substance then wth was he thinking to even attempt a run?
if he did nothing and it’s all lies....looking less likely with each hour sadly
Where are you sarah honey....it doesnt get any better than this for you hon...put yer big girl britches on please
what a mess we have at this dire hour with the siege laid at Lord Obama’s
RE: and if there is substance then wth was he thinking to even attempt a run?
If there really substance, let the women come out and stop hiding behind anonymity. 15 years, and they come out now!! How can one not help but suspect sabotage?
Also, what’s all these hiding behind the all-catching word ‘inappropriate’? TELL US EXACTLY what he did that destroyed the lives of these women.
So the challenge to the accusers before accepting your conclusion -— STOP HIDING BEHIND THE WORDS — Anonymous and Inappropriate.
i dont believe Cain when he first said he did not recall..
only 12 years ago or so
i know some adore him but this is going to get worse....sorry...truly
he may survive...
.but i doubt it....hope im wrong
wish i had been wrong on Palin too ...
much more so
got beat up here for that candor too
freepers lose reason over primaries
these choices are poor....shame we cant do better
This is going to get worse for whom? Now one of the accusers says she *thinks* Cain is lying:

LMAO! No wonder Bennett won’t reveal her identity.
say what you wish and of course its not fair since the media often lets liberals walk on this stuff
but no way is this good for Cain and his first replies did him no favors
if i am wrong please rub my nose in it
i wasnt wrong about Palins squishiness either and got skewed for it
now Cain....i doubt he survives all these allegations
and yes...once again...of course it aint fair
i fault him for saying he didnt recall and playing the race card
shame...what a lacking field now
What people are missing is that all the GOP candidates should rally around any Republican who is facing unsubstantiated claims from anonymous accusers. They’ve failed to do that and have pretty much sealed the fate of whoever the GOP nominee happens to be. Their silence has helped establish a new precedent. We now have this lawyer Bennett boldly claiming that his client will not come forward, but won’t be going away either, and will still continue accusing Cain, but only through him.
So guess what’s in store for the GOP nominee next fall? Nameless, faceless accusers hiding behind a curtain of anonymity. And good luck crying foul then, when they’ve got not one word to say about it now.
