I heard this on the radio today and I cringed. The man sounds awkward talking about God. And he uses the silly “God helps those who help themselves” phrase. Such scholarly thinking!

God helps those that Trust in Him (...kind of would make a nice motto ... if people would actually live it)

Only the Bible illiterate believe that line is really in the Bible.
A sure indication he hasn’t read or studied it.
