Chris Matthews Angrily Denies Having Ghostwriter's Help with New JFK Book
Newsbusters ^ | November 2, 2011 | Ken Shepherd

"F*** you!" is how MSNBC's Chris Matthews reportedly objected to the notion that he used the services of a ghostwriter for his new book, "Jack Kennedy: Elusive Hero."

In a November 2 blog post, Forbes.com's Jeff Bercovici detailed the Hardball host's testy reaction to the suggestion that just as Matthews's boyhood hero heavily relied on Ted Sorensen, Matthews had a professional scribe assist him on his latest project (emphasis mine):

Matthews’ genial, boyish face darkens. “Forget you,” he says.

(Only he doesn’t say “forget you.” Both Matthews and my editor asked me not to print what he actually said, so I rely here on my readers’ familiarity with both the original and radio versions of a certain Cee-Lo Green song.)

“Forget you,” he repeats. “Where’d you get that? Is that what you think? You think I don’t write my books?”

It's been confirmed by a number of unnamed but reliable sources that Matthews relied completely on a ghost writer.

Matthews may not have even read his book yet.

Show me the spittle on the notes and draft and I’ll believe Sissy wrote it on his own.

He doesn’t deny it, but he gets plenty mad.

So I’d say, “Me thinks thou dost protest too much!”...

Several anonymous women in his office have confirmed that Matthews is strictly "hunt and peck" on a keyboard.

It takes him almost an hour to type a single tweet about how much he loves Obama's pecs.

If you want a documented book about JFK that pretty well shows that he was a typical Kennedy sleezeball, try “A Question of Courage”. When it was just out, I went to my local liberal bookstore to find it.

After I looked and looked for it, and finally asked one of the hired help, I they led me to it...It was located in a back unlabeled shelf, with the spine turned so that it could not be read.

Wanna bet Matthew’s book will be a “best seller”?

And Matthews, if you wanna debate anytime, let me know. I’d have to be in advanced rigor mortis before I would become as vapid, stupid, and completely without merit as you.

Gasp, I pulled a “Matthews”.

The book is “A Question of Character,” and I apologize for not being able to get to it to identify the author, since it’s not located where I am currently posting. It was written circa 1990, I believe.

And it contains references.....many references....that can be checked.

Isn’t saying “F**k you!” sexual harassment of the first order?
