She is not death penalty eligible in Maryland. In order to be, you have to a “mass murder” or “serial killer”.
While technically 'available', the reality is that the death penalty isn't truly available in MD these days. It will likely be repealed within a year or two, only to be re-instated as the only appropriate punishment for Catholic clergy refusing to officiate ssm ceremonies. That would be extreme irony, inasmuch as Maryland was *begun* as a place where English speaking Catholics would have the freedom of conscience to practice their beliefs...
