So far we have three anonymous accusers, two of which were let go with severance pay because their stories did not hold up, and the third who seems like a ‘me too’ situation. One of the two never even progressed to the point where the NRA notified Cain about it. Where are the skeletons?
I love how the story has been twisted to “let go with severence pay”. Nobody who knows what happened has ever used that terminology — it’s just the description Cain supporters here adopted because it sounds better than “they were paid off for their silence”.
Of course, when Cain said it was a “few months pay”, I guess that sounded more like severance. Now that we know one woman actually got a year’s pay, it sounds a lot more like a payoff to leave the company and stop causing trouble.
You also have no evidence that Cain wasn’t told about the 2nd — only Cain saying he wasn’t told; and Cain hasn’t exactly kept his story straight so far.
