False charges are not skeletons in anyone’s closet.

When will you Perry people understand that this kind of thing happens all the time, and companies settle and seal them rather than paying the expense of going to court? It is NOT an admission of guilt! It is a money and timesaving decision.

If it’s not a “skeleton”, why is if causing so much trouble? This is exactly what people wanted to be assured of, that a guy who was a political newcomber didn’t have things that would be embarrassing if they came up, that hadn’t come out because he hadn’t been through the election/vetting process.

If you are trying to argue that the story isn’t embarrassing, you are delusional. If it wasn’t embarrassing, Cain could have told the story when he entered the race, and preempted the whole thing.

Nobody is saying the settlement was an admission of guilt. We are saying that a settlement is a fact, a real thing; not some made-up story. People did not FALSELY claim there was a settlement, or FALSELY claim there were harrassment complaints. Those are both TRUE statements, they are potentially embarrassing, and are what people were worried about.
