I suspect the woman is Cain's age, retired, or soon to retire, AND, she can supplement her Retirement income with good ol' Talk Show appearances on MSNBC, CBS, NBC, etc. (the usual State-Run-Media hype of non-stories to discredit Conservatives).
She is just looking to make some bucks, and probably already got a payoff from the DNC to smear Cain.

Reports are the woman was in her mid 20s when this occured, which would put her in her 40s now.

You must not be paying attention. The woman was freshly out of college at the time of the alleged incident. And for what it's worth, her attorney, Mr. Bennet, has been selected a number of times by his piers as one of the district's top lawyers and is the former president of the DC bar. This is not a trivial matter.
