White House rejects 'partisan' subpoena on Solyndra documents

Washington (Platts)--4Nov2011/612 pm EDT/2212 GMT

The White House Friday rejected a subpoena issued by the House of Representatives' Energy and Commerce Committee to produce internal communications and other documents related to now-bankrupt solar panel maker Solyndra's $535 million loan guarantee.

In a letter to the Republican leaders of the committee, White House counsel Kathryn Ruemmler called the subpoena a partisan "vast fishing expedition" without legal justification.

"The committee's extremely broad request for documents -- now a subpoena -- is a significant intrusion on Executive Branch interests, particularly given that you have not made any effort to tailor the request to the legitimate interests of the committee," Ruemmler wrote.

"Moreover, responding to such an expansive request would require the devotion of substantial resources to gather and review many documents that are of no legitimate oversight interest," she continued.

Aides to the committee's Republicans could not immediately be reached for comment, and it is unclear what their next move would be.

I agree this should be the next move. Also notice the media does not care that the sitting POTUS has claimed EP on a subpoena but Herman Cain may ask Mrs. Butterworth and Aunt Jemima how tall they are so this is breaking news to them.

Remember Solyndra was raided and the sad fact is we don’t know if they were raided by the FBI to cover and shred for Obama as Holder can easily direct or all of the evidence is there.Or...the WH end of the paper trail ends the case.

For starters

Aiding and abetting and providing comfort and legal advice (is he still a practicing attorney even?) to the enemy (terrorists)conspiracy to commit fraud and money laundering against the people of the United States of America.

Engaged in unconstitutional and fascist acts of bailing out the UAW, and giving the UAW a private corporation.

Engaged in unconsitutional and fascist acts by selling an American private car company to the UAW and an Italian company.

PETITION FOR REDRESS OF GRIEVANCES

To the United States Congress, United States Supreme Court and President of the United States:

Whereas, the First Amendment guarantees our right to Petition for Redress of Grievances, and

Whereas, the Senators and Representatives, all executives and judicial officers of the United States are bound by oath or affirmation to support the Constitution, and

Whereas, the Ninth and Tenth Amendments provide that powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people, and

Whereas, the Fourteenth Amendment guarantees equal protection of the laws, and

Whereas, Article 1 of the Constitution prohibits both the federal government and the states from passing either bills of attainder or ex post facto laws, and

Whereas, the Supreme Court has insisted that “a Bill of Attainder may affect the life of an individual, or may confiscate his property, or may do both”, and

Whereas, “All laws which are repugnant to the constitution are null and void” (Marbury v Madison, 5 US (2Cranch) 137, 174, 176 (1803)) and,

Whereas, We the People, have been betrayed through treachery and breach of allegiance, by those entrusted with the responsibility to safe guard our liberty and the United States Constitution,

We the People, in seeking Redress of Grievances, as is our right under Amendment I of the United States Constitution, ask this question of each branch of Federal Government:

“Where in the Constitution do you find authorization for each and all of the following?”

1. The redistribution of property by force and subterfuge; and the unequal application of tax laws amounting to punitive action against certain groups of American People and providing favored status to other groups

2. A paper money system that is morally and economically equivalent to counterfeiting

3. Willful and purposeful devaluation and destruction of American currency

4. Deploying military to fight undeclared wars

5. Targeting and labeling law-abiding American citizens as domestic terrorists

6. Declarations that disagreeing with policy is unpatriotic or disloyal to our country

7. Intrusions into the privacy of law-abiding American citizens

8. Perpetual massive indebtedness to foreign countries

9. Infringement upon the rights of the People to keep and bear arms through oppressive regulation and taxation designed for the very purpose of infringement

10. Passing laws and taxes without deliberation and without reading the legislation; said action is tantamount to the American People not having any representation

11. Enacting ex post facto laws and Bills of Attainder

12. Granting Constitutional rights and privileges to illegal aliens and prisoners of war

13. Funding mercenary organizations that engage in voter fraud and paid harassment of law abiding American citizens

14. Maintaining and deploying armies in peace time on United States soil

15. Unprecedented and arbitrary federal power, through the United States Treasury, for government intervention into, control of, and confiscation of, private property, private industry including but not limited to banking, insurance, manufacturing, farming and other sectors of the private economy (current and proposed)

16. Requiring involuntary servitude or governmental service other than a draft during a declared war, or pursuant to, or as an alternative to, incarceration after due process of law (proposed)

17. Requiring involuntary servitude or governmental service of persons under the age of 18 other than pursuant to, or as an alternative to, incarceration after due process of law (proposed)

18. Acts regarding religion; further limitations on freedom of political speech; or further limitations on freedom of the press (proposed)

We the People of the United States of America, who cherish liberty, taking into our most serious consideration, the best means of assuring our continued constitutional rights of self governance, as our ancestors in like cases have done, for asserting and vindicating our rights and liberties, declare,

That the citizens of the Unites States of America, by the immutable laws of nature, the principles of the United States Constitution, Supreme Court case law and the Federalist Papers, have the following Rights:

• We are entitled to life, liberty, and property, and we have never ceded to any sovereign power whatever, a right to dispose of these without our consent.

• The three branches of the United States government derive their just powers solely from the consent of the governed.

• We the people have the right and the obligation to alter or abolish any government that becomes destructive of the inalienable rights endowed by our Creator and rights codified in the United States Constitution

• We have the right peaceably to assemble, consider our grievances, petition the three branches of the Federal Government; and that all prosecutions, prohibitory and proclamations, defamatory declarations, and commitments for the same, are illegal.

• We the People of the United States of America, do claim, demand, and insist on, as our indubitable rights and liberties that the federal government must be answerable and accountable to the people; which cannot be legally taken from us, altered or abridged by any power whatever, without our own consent, and said consent has never been given

In the course of our inquiry, we find numerous infringements and violations of the foregoing rights; which demonstrate systemic corruption formed to subvert and destroy our constitutional republic and to enslave the American people.

We submit this Petition for Redress of Grievances in an ardent desire that precious liberty be restored to ourselves and preserved for future generations of Americans.

This Petition for Redress of Grievances serves as notice and demand by the American People to the federal government, as our agent: 1) To cease and desist, effective immediately, mandates that are beyond the scope of the constitutionally delegated powers; 2) To formally and publicly recognize the natural and Constitutional rights of the American People in a manner appropriate to each branch of government (resolution, proclamation, statement); 3) To answer, point by point the question contained herein; 4) To honor your oaths to support the Constitution or resign immediately from your positions.

Hear, <==== correct away.

If you'll make that Chicken Fried Steak I'll be right down to SC in return for your correction as long as you're buying real food for folks. I'll even bring a flask of Scotch for an after dinner drink.

No, wait, I forgot that gas costs a fortune. Dang, and I haven't had decent cornbread biscuits with gravy in a coons age.

VBG, enjoy the correction free of charge anyway.

Well, whatever I said stands, and where I stands is what I said.

(Hope that helps.)

When it gets dark and spooky late on FR, the chicken fried steaks and cornbread biscuits make themselves known to those in the know.

I got family that are 3 generations in Savannah. They’d add mashed potatoes smothered in butter, green beans cooked in bacon and onions. Maybe some fried okra. yum.

Damn, I love good fried chicken. Trouble is, I like mine better than what I can get out, so when I want it right, I have to cook my own.

I really hope that you’re right about that - but historically, large numbers or mobs / “militias” of armed and motivated but unorganized individuals are routinely routed, decimated and survivors captured if not massacred by fractionally smaller bodies of capably led, disciplined, supported (logistics) coordinated and trained military or paramilitary units.

Los Zetas and Hezbullah probably qualify as private paramilitary organizations even though they may not officially serve any established government.

They may, however, hire out to a governmental interest if the price is right and the potential plunder is attractive.
Bear in mind that our women and children are considered fair booty of war by these predatory animals.

How many $Trillions has gone missing through the Federal Reserve and Obama’s various “bail-outs” over the past 3 years? Someone could probably hire quite a few gangsters and warlords for half that much, don’t you think?

Our ruling regime has already been caught using our money to arm them... how much more have they done to strengthen our enemies (foreign and domestic) that we don’t know about yet?

We know that Iranian Jihadists have been staging and training in Venezuela for several years now, and many of them have slipped across our Southern borders passing themselves off as Mexicans after learning Spanish. Hezbollah has bases well established in Cuba, and it’s not a long boat ride (how many terrorists can you fit in one of those drug subs?) to Florida.
I suspect there already may be a few cells of them hanging out in Miami or Ft. Lauderdale... watching and waiting.

Once they learn Spanish (and they have) they blend right in with the locals.

It would appear that a well armed, trained, and supplied “Domestic Security Force” is already in place in our midst, just awaiting their orders. There well may be a couple hundred thousand of them... at least.

If you want to get an idea how well all us hunters will do resisting them, check and see how the people who resisted the Venezuelan Police made out when the Shavez gestapo went around to collect the guns that some of the more non-compliant subjects failed to surrender.

The OWS pukes probably won’t be too big a threat but such useful idiots can be used to disrupt our infrastructure for a while. They are quite expendable, but they can be a nuisance.

How many of us can hold out with no food, electricity, shelter or communication when we can’t live in our houses any more because most of them are virtually indefensible from ground or air attack? How long can an average American Hunter stay hidden and on the run, living off of the land while he is being relentlessly hunted by professional killers?

Don’t count on the US Military to help us much - there is a reason they are kept disarmed on base (like Ft. Hood) you know. I’m expecting the PURGE any day now (see Stalin - Obama knows his tactics well) and then Obama’s private gestapo will have the tanks, aircraft, arty etc.- and I rather think that they know how to use them.

Our Military is already heavily infiltrated with Muslims and Gang members, apparently. The purge will probably start from within. Maj. Nidal Hassan was just a tiny preview and perhaps a small scale trial run. It worked pretty well for just one operator, too.

Given a kill ratio of 1:12 or so in their favor, what could 50,000 coordinated Hassans do to the unarmed and essentially defenseless US Military in just one day do you suppose? Not all of them will be fat Psychologists, and Not all of them will rely on sidearms alone for the slaughter.

If we wonder what’s probably about to repeat itself among us in the near future... just check HISTORY.

A Congressional subpoena don't mean squat. What the House of Representatives needs to do now is request a subpoena duces tecum from the judiciary. If they get it - the WH has no leg to stand on. See United States v. Nixon ... Nixon lost.

We really should refer to the White House as White Castle now, they love greasy burgers and are filled with Chicago street punks.

This Pelosi sock puppet president has proven to be the most corrupt in the history of our nation.

It is time for revolution!

Coming from an administration claiming that requiring documentation of Constitutional eligibility is extreme, can any of us be surprised by this?

The surprise is that they would be willing to show such blatant contempt for the rule of law - but then, they’ve had “conservative” commentators saying all along that only extremists would require legal documentation so they’re probably thinking the public has been lulled into thinking that the rule of law is “extreme”.

If the acorn that got Obama into office was lawlessness, the full-grown oak once he’s in office will also be lawlessness. If they could get away with it BEFORE Obama was able to install puppet law enforcement, with only a yawn or guffaw from “conservatives”, then they must have thought nothing could stop them once the puppet law enforcement was installed.

That’s what a lot of us were saying about why eligibility matters. But no... we were just extremist nuts barking up an irrelevant and distracting tree...

The nation needs to stand up and say, once and for all, that the rule of law matters and that documentation for the claims of elected officials MUST be standard operating procedure.

The courts have all said that Obama’s very eligibility to even BE President is “nobody’s business”. If that’s none of our business, then everything else is “none of our business” as well.

Obama is just agreeing with every eligibility court/judge and almost every so-called “conservative” commentator on the eligibility issue. The rule of law is “none of our business”, and requests for documentation are a frivolous use of resources by conspiracy nuts. Or so they have all told us all along...

The same way you break disclosure laws, forge a draft registration and 2 “birth certificates”, use a social security number that’s never been issued to you, illegally hide DOH Administrative Rules, etc.

You play “chicken”. As long as nobody with “standing” or law enforcement throws your sorry rear into jail, none of those laws means a dang thing. Obama’s handlers know that full well, and the slower-thinking parts of the US public are about to know it.
