“Newt is coming on strong. If only he weren’t a neocon.”
Agree. He still has a ‘heart’ for people that are here Illegally. He wants to keep them around with work permits if they’ve been here a while and established ‘roots’.
Not good, it opens the door to some future president/Congress giving them Amnesty, or even a judge doing the same.
We MUST remove them, if they did not enter properly.
Depends on how gullible people are.
Newt who threw Paul Ryan under the bus, trash talked the GOP Health Care plan as Right wing social engineering, chastised Conservative for not backing uber RINO Dede Scusafasa, purposes a Amnesty lite Middle way on Immigration and jumped on the Global Warming couch with Nancy Pelosie?? Who pimps alternative energy? Newt who took $300,000 plus from Fannie and Freddie to prevent them getting reformed thus helping with his good buddies Frank and Dodd cause the 2008 crash?
So adult now means being a Bush like candidate who will talk a tough game on the Campaign trail and then go to DC and be a good little crony capitalist liberal GOP water boy.
No thanks, have no interest in voting for McCain 2.0 in 2012
He definitely has the smarts to maybe pull it off
Here this is just as reliable, http://web.ics.purdue.edu/~ssanty/cgi-bin/eightball.cgi
Newt has to do his part to save the Republic and agree to be Cain’s VP!
Let’s hope this “Newt Boomlet” is over soon. I am going to run out of barf bags.
I have become a big fan of Newt’s. He plays chess to the other candidates checkers.
Newt-Bachman!!
Yes!
He’s also a sprayed fly. Never know on what side of an issue he will come down on. Could be staunchly conservative, moderate, slightly conservative or flaming liberal.
I’ll pass.
Newt has been out of the Congressional game of musical chairs for several years.
From his most recent comments - he seems to have spent that hiatus reflecting on his own missteps as a well-meaning but naive pragmatist.
I expect in his maturity he is dedicated to seeing the US return to its Constitutional roots and counteract Obama’s fatal flaws.
"What we may be witnessing is the second coming of Newt Gingrich, as he reprises his role as chief author of Democrat demise."
Answer: Such an event is starting to look possible. I know I'm moving towards supporting him as he seems the most competent of all the Republican candidates. Some on this forum point out he may be a RINO which gives one pause. There are claims he supported some positions I cannot tolerate such as "amnesty light" I will watch and listen to what he has to say on this vital issue.
For Vice President, yes.

Well, so far Cain hasn’t fallen, despite rumors (and hopeful “predictions”) of the political class. He’s risen slowly and stayed strong, even with the horrendous crap he’s gone through lately.
Cindie
Unless Newt has completely abandoned the utopianistic post-modernism of the Tofflers, he stands in stark contrast to Mr. Cain with his rooting in the Reagan/Founding Fathers vision for America--IMHO...
The media and libs are really desperate for anyone other than Cain. They kept calling Romney the “front runner” and Cain “not serious” even when he was leading in the polls, and now they say Cain is “flailing because of sexual harassment” despite him not moving in the polls at all, and now it is between Romney and Gingrich?
This should tell any conservative who we need to nominate.
