(Reuters) - Allegations that Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain sexually harassed women in the 1990s have begun to damage his bid for the White House, a Reuters/Ipsos poll found.

The poll showed the percentage of Republicans who view Cain favorably dropped 9 percentage points, to 57 percent from 66 percent a week ago.

This does not mean that the next article they publish gets the BullyPulpit Seal of Approval (BSOA)

I see.

How do you rate this one?

Herman Cain continues to pull 23 percent of the Republican primary vote in the first major poll taken after the allegations of sexual harassment against Cain came to light.

Not a Cain supporter, but keep in mind that number includes Democrats, 100% or so of whom probably believe it. It also doesn't indicate much because you don't know what the actual question is. For example: "Is there some truth to the accusations, despite his denials?" is a fundamentally different question from "Was there sexual harassment, despite his denials?" Of those who believe it, how much does it matter? Of those to whom it matters, would it cause them to change their vote?

This will all shake out over the next few weeks. There isn't much movement either way as yet.

The Politico story on Herman Cain was accurate and adequately sourced.

Where is your proof? And no, Democrat opinion polls don't consitute proof.

But that's not going to happen. Herman Cain is arrogant and reckless, and TWO sexual harassment payoffs prove it. Even if the first was untrue, a smart and careful CEO would figure out how to change their behavior to avoid the second. But apparently, there was a problem, and I read an article in the National Journal that said the NRA couldn't get rid of Cain's womanizing ass soon enough. so... Drip Drip Drip.

My father was 27 years in the Navy. He worked for Admiral Rickhover, though he started as a Seaman Recruit. I can honor the fact that Perry served, and do. It keeps me from dropping my opinion of him lower than Romney.

A study done in the 1930’s showed that a high-level moron could be taught to fly an aircraft. There’s a reason you need a 110 GT score to join intelligence. As a Spec/5 I routinely issued orders and requirements to battalions, brigades and larger units and told O-6s and O-7s what needed to be done. As a buck private I controlled the G-2 of a field army along two-thirds of the DMZ. Sounds like BS, but it’s true.

That’s much more qualifying than flying an airplane.

Are you a pilot?

Please read Herman Cain’s book and come back, tell us that he’s arrogant. Confident winners are often judged wrongly as ‘arrogant’. I’m not buying into the ‘arrogance’ label on Cain.

Hey 2nd Div Vet. I taught kids how to fly Buffs. My slogan for beginners learning aerial refueling was, “If given enough bananas, I can teach a monkey to do this!”

So you’re probably right in your assessment.

On the other hand, not many of the best lookin’ chicks cared much for intel geeks.

Nor were you even accused of it. See post#55.

It might be more fair to say he was inadvertently accused due to a lack of punctuation. See post #32.
