Occupy DC protesters violently injured peaceful Tea Party go-ers (some elderly) and attemped to force entry into the Washington Convention Center on Friday (Nov 4, 2011), where Americans for Prosperity is hosting their "Defending the American Dream Summit." The protesters also formed roadblocks, surrounding the convention center and only allowing non-luxury cars to pass. Parents with their children were caught in the violence. Some injured... Auto/pedestrian accidents occured as Occupy protestors rushed into the streets hurling profanities at drivers and attempting to block drivers' paths. This has to stop...

Oh, and why must they cover their faces?? So mommy and daddy won’t know they’re there and pull the trust fund, or worse yet cell phone & internet bill? or is it because they have criminal records, or have been doing this subversive stuff for a career? Or maybe mommy and daddy’s own career could be in jeopardy if seen?

I don’t think he is assuming in any way whatsoever that FReepers are a bunch of idiots

Post 338; "Now, HERE, folks, is a PERFECT example of some of the idiots amongst us."

"Post 339 "Once again, you're demonstrating my point: that there are idiots among us."

She is sooooooooooo predictable. Has looked down on us from the begining, thus all the threads 'throwing' the stuff in our faces over and over again, 'cuz we're too stupid to know it otherwise.

(I have the same problem with someone on the football threads - and I think everyone else does too, because what the other year used to be 1000-post threads per week is now about 75 for the week, same guys dominating it.)

Ditto here. Nothing against the guy, who is just trying to be funny, but bunches of cartoon pictures just break up the flow of the thread for me, especially when I'm browsing FR on my phone.

I also keep in mind that there are others - liberals and lurkers alike, who come to FR on occasion, and may NOT know what us “political junkies” are well aware of.

The government is on the side of the occupiers. The only place you will see the National Guard is against the Tea Party meetings after things start to get tough.

All this BS about who the GOP nominee is going to be are beside the point.

By August, it won't matter.

Well, the Nat'l Guard is a State thing and although they can be Federalized, it is us to the views of the State's governor. The Federal forces, hopefully, most of them will know that such orders issued by those thugs will be illegal. We are entering into unknown regions here. The bloom is off their flower and most people do see what they are but they are still dangerous. I think if they stop the election, there will be a rise up against them though.

“... I actually felt bad for the cops...”

As one poster noted above, the cops are UNION guys.

They could have stopped this anytime they wanted to.

The MINUTE these dirtbags step into the street with the purpose of actively blocking, impeding, threatening, or otherwise stopping normal pedestrian and motor vehicle traffic, they have the law on their side to REMOVE these sacks of feces from the public streets.

Yet they don’t. I wouldn’t feel too badly for the cops. If they do nothing, they’re part of the problem.

I grew up in North Philly when “Hizzoner” Frank was the mayor.

They were definitely better days and better ways back then.

Thanks for posting these ETL.

Folks can scroll by your posts if they aren’t interested in it.

I bet many who are complaining are the same ones who would tell someone to turn the channel if don’t like what’s on tv.

“..This will be quite an albatross on Obama’s neck. He supports this crap and has said so...”

It’s only an albatross if our side (read that: “the GOP”) has the balls to make it an albatross.

IF they’re not afraid to show it for what it really is.

IF they stop being afraid of their own shadow and stop worrying about being called “racist” and start linking Obama and the RCP and the OWS idiots.

At the end of the day, it’s about courage, and so far, other than Darryl Issa and Senator Grassly, the GOP overall has done nothing to indicate that they’ve grown anything resembling a “collective” spine. Yet.

Keep posting it, brother.

This is one long continuous train of abuses, as it were...since Marx and Engles wrote their POS manifesto in 1848 until now.

This is the latest manifestation of it.

I think if they stop the election, there will be a rise up against them though

If an order is given to stop the elections, the White House will be surrounded by tanks in five minutes.

The danger is that polling places will be besieged and no one will act against the thugs.

“plowed into...”

You actually don’t have to “plow into” them.

Just take your foot off the gas, let the idle move you forward slowly; that vehicle is several thousand pounds of steel. It will not be easily stopped. They can stand in front of it only so long as it will push them backwards. You can add a little gas pedal to make them move as well, until you’re clear, then just drive on.

They’re COUNTING on you stopping. You stop, you’re in their zone (see Reggie Denny, 1992 LA Riots; he had an 18 wheeler, and he stopped, and took a cinder block to the head by gutterape savages).

If they start pounding your windows with the intent to break them, well then, what you do at that point is up to you.

Me, I wouldn’t stop. Ever.

Yeah, she(?) managed to unsult me in post #337 as well...

I am sure ETL means well, but I actually think those sort of posts are more likely to turn people away than to educate them. People see that sort of spam and think, "Wow, this person is unhinged, I wonder how many other whack-a-doodles there are here?". And that's ashame, because what might be a perfectly rational argument gets lost (along with the original topic of the thread).
