Has medical science ever explained how he survived so long? 20 years ago HIV was a death sentence.
I remember hearing about a professor who was fairly prominent in his specialty as having AIDS—he died in 2004 at the age of 68, at least 17 years after I heard the rumor. I never met him in person, just heard about him.
I remember reading something over a decade ago that said he was taking something that made it so the aids was at undetectable levels. I don’t know how true that was though.
