Brian Streeter's stomach is churning over this.
Having had Jerry Sandusky conduct three-day youth football camps at Penn State Behrend in July for eight years, Streeter can only hope no child camper dealt with what Sandusky was arrested for Saturday.
"You have a sick feeling because you hope that none of the individuals that participated in the program here were harmed," the Behrend athletic director said. "That's not why we run our programs."
A former Penn State assistant, Sandusky was charged with 40 criminal counts of child sex abuse.

If something did happen with Sandusky during his time at Behrend, Streeter hopes people share that information with Behrend.
With the way things are happening now, more is bound to come out on this.
"Where does the ball stop?" Streeter said.
It won't. We're in full snowball-effect mode now.
Sandusky's charges are over a period of time from the mid-1990s to 2008...
"After 2009 is the first we ever heard about it," he said.

In 2002, Penn State coach Joe Paterno relayed info to athletic director Bill Curley about what assistant Mike McQueary told him about Sandusky having inappropriate action with a boy in the team's locker room shower at the main campus.
Sandusky was prohibited from having youth sports camps on the Penn State main campus, but continued running camps at Behrend.
Streeter is wishing he had known all this before.
"Information that may have been out there that wasn't shared with anybody is unfortunate because if you know certain things, you don't let certain things happen on your campus," Streeter said.
Streeter said he didn't hear complaints about Sandusky in the time he spent at Behrend, but learning of the accusations makes him even more worrisome about what might have happened here...

The AP has reported here -- Penn State assistant coach ran kid camps after ban -- that Sandusky ran camps at:
* Penn State Erie (Penn State Behrend),
* Penn State Harrisburg
* Penn State Capital College in Middletown
* Robert Morris University
* Muhlenberg College
* Among others
Victims in State College may be the very tip of the iceberg.
Parents now from all over Pennsylvania have every right to be concerned and secure details from the universities that allowed Sandusky to run his programs there.
If Sandusky was the defensive coordinator during the 2 National Championship years the NCAA needs to forfeit the titles.
My God, there could be hundreds of boys involved. Everybody involved in looking the other way at Penn State, including JoePa, need to go to jail alongside child predator Sandusky.

I've been thinking a lot about this. I rooted for both those PSU teams, and have always been a casual fan (I went to a DIII school, so I can maintain multiple rooting interests in DI).
But there is something altogether menacing about this situation. I agree that the football team (the players) operated independently and presumably without any involvement in this scandal (which seems like too weak a word to describe it). However, do we really want a college athletic regime to provide severe sanctions for petty indiscretions (payments to players, etc.) and just disregard heinous acts that took place on campus in the athletic facilities that are covered up by the very people in charge of the programs?
This situation is unprecedented. PSU, for all intents and purposes, is a dead program right now. If they are to salvage it, they must fire everyone on the payroll who is associated with the program. Yes, that's harsh. And unfair to many innocent people. But if the school wishes to credibly maintain the program, they have to start from scratch, and acknowledge the complete moral failure of the institution as a whole. There will be no absolution. They are on the brink.

As a PSU fan, I concur. Anyone who had knowledge of Sandusky’s alleged crimes and didn’t follow up to make sure the police were made aware of the alleged crimes are at best, guilty of abetting a cover up and at worst, accomplices to the alleged crimes.
And that includes, above all, JoePa. It’s sad that the career of an otherwise legendary coach will end under this cloud, But he had choices. He made the wrong ones and kids will suffer for the rest of their lives because of it.
