These sorts of poisons have to be dosed properly, as we can see from the current backlash against this circus, and the support for Cain.
To mix metaphors, they have already overplayed their hand.
To stick with the original metaphor, if the poison is too obvious, the body will simply vomit it out. I believe we are already seeing that happening.
