Russell Pearce, architect of illegal immigration law in Arizona, loses election
Christian Science Monitor ^ | November 9, 2011 | David Schwartz

A powerful Republican state Senate leader who championed Arizona's controversial crackdown on illegal immigrants lost his office on Tuesday in a historic recall election, returns showed. Russell Pearce's defeat is a message to the GOP, say some analysts, that jobs and the economy should be a higher priority than illegal immigrants.

The economy has illegals aliens working fake or stolen documents and that are a part of why there are no jobs and why our laws continue to decline to be geared towards illegal aliens and their well being.

quote “say some analysts, that jobs and the economy should be a higher priority than illegal immigrants”

um... lets see there are approximately 20 million illegal aliens here ... and there are 14 million people unemployed....

Simply deport the 20 million illegals and there will be more jobs than 14 million people could fill, resulting in full employment, and higher wages.

and these issues are not supposedly related?

lol

. . . jobs and the economy should be a higher priority than illegal immigrants.

I suppose it is lost on some of these dopes that one of the key reasons jobs are scarce and the economy is in shamble is because we illegal alien termites taking out far more in costs than they contribute.

Russell Pearce deserves our thanks for standing up to the bipartisan invasion lobby which wants to privatize profits and make public the costs.

His constituents should be deeply ashamed.

We may actually be in for a world of hurt in 2012 if we all cannot get it going. Conservative messages, propositions and candidates went down all over the country yesterday. We need to focus. We need a good candidate. Not Obama lite. At this point Cain fits the bill but he is getting off message to answer the scandal accusations. We cannot live through four more years of Obama.

I’m betting the people of AZ are aware Illegals directly impact jobs.
IMHO, Russell came off a little nutty in interviews. And he did far too many of them. I think that’s what did him in.

Does Arizona have the nation’s most dysfunctional voters? This is another result at odds with what polls and other indicators show. Pearce represented a supposedly conservative suburb of Mesa, and the immigration law he authored passed and had strong support in the state based on polls. But that conservative district votes him out in a recall election.

Those "supposedly consrvative" people will be getting what they deserve, RINO representation.

Russell Pearce. One of those rare true American patriots. Sir, I salute you and want to thank you for serving and standing tall for America. Your efforts has helped to pave the way to regain OUR country state by state.

You are correct, it was not the illegal immigration policies that did him in. First he had a scandal with the Fiesta Bowl giving him free tickets and trips. He handled it very poorly, instead of stepping up and taking responsibility he was very arrogant. The next issue was he or his campaign recruited a Hispanic woman to run a sham campaign to dilute the votes. Another very stupid move. He lost because he ran a very poor recall campaign.

The Socialists have activated and motivated their base.
We are in for a real hard scrum between now and next November.

Remember that a large part of the Socialist base are the many unnecessary gubmint employees that the Dems keep as their political machine and army. We pay the wages of these leeches and they in turn give the taxpayers money to the Dems. We have to keep our local governments as spartan as we can both to save our tax dollars and to keep the Dem machine/army as small as possible. Starve the beast.

The only message is that this is a war and the left doesn't play by the rules. The Democrats, media, and liberal interest groups colluded and found a puppet "Republican" to run against Pearce. Pearce lost with 45% of the vote after outside groups poured in money. That is hardly a repudiation of Pearce or attempts to secure our border. If the GOP ran a Democrat against Obama, one slightly to the right of him on most issues and he won by 9% would that be a repudiation of liberalism or Democrats? It is a silly question, because the media would never collude with such a sham.

That he and/or his campaign set up the Cortes scam makes him either corrupt or incredibly stupid. Neither of which are desirable in a legislator. let alone the Senate President.

Lewis ran a sham campaign funded by the left. He is the sham.
You think Pearce is corrupt? Then run a candidate against him in the primary. You don't hand over the district to the Democrats and Racial lobbies.

The recall was a stunt, which Pearce was forced to play in. And why shouldn’t the left have their own candidate?
