As resident of Ohio, I’d say the next thing to do is CONSTUTIONAL AMENDMENT to put it beyond the reach of off-year political sabotage by the union thugs...
CONSTITUTIONAL ... that is
Actually for you, the next step is to keep accout and make very public all the Union employees who will here on out lose her jobs and/or all the Taxes that will here on out go out of business.
The people of Ohio have been fooled by the union into surrendering their right to choose how much they are willing to pay for any given service.
Let them now be enlighten by the consequence of their misjudgement. Let the firings or tax hikes start.
Yes; and the message was that the Union Members who don't have jobs (auto workers with all the closed auto plants in the Cleveland/Lorain area) and the Steelworkers (with the closed steel mills in the Cleveland/Lorain areas) STILL voted for the Unions that priced them out of a job. Likewise, Police, Fire, Teachers, and City/County/State Union parasites/bloodsuckers will soon be looking for work when the layoffs come (and they will come soon), because WE IN OHIO DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO CONTINUE THE GRAVY TRAIN.
#1: Put them on the same status as their fellow citizens in the private sector (the point IIRC of SB5 and Issue 2), that is pay half at least of the cost for their medical benefits, pensions, and other "benefits". #2: Raise taxes on everyone including themselves. #3: Start laying their a**es off by the bus load.
The Inevitable is the shortfall in Ohio State revenues and now Solution #1 has been eliminated. Solution #2 won't fly during a deep recession and as long as we have a Republican governor, House, and Senate or any combination of the three. So we're left with Solution #3. I hope they enjoy all the new free time.
