I could not agree more with what you say about the $45K. 15 years ago when I ran a software company, upon recommendation by our attorney we paid a gal who we had the undeniable evidence had set up an officer of the corporation for a sexual harassment shakedown. She pursued and enticed him into a sexual relationship and began emailing nude pictures of herself to him from her home computer...asking him to do the same, which he did. Without a doubt he was stupid beyond belief. However, thinking herself smart, she then said they both needed to delete those emails and pictures and defrag their hard disks so they could not be recovered. When he told her he had done this, she promptly lodged a sexual harassment complaint against him with the HR department, producing as evidence the many nude pictures he had sent her...but denying she had sent him any. He could not recover the pictures..as if that would get him out of hot water. We fired him and sent his hard disk to a forensic expert who, after many many hours of processing, was able to restore bit by bit the deleted pictures thought to be unrecoverable. Even still, after we presented the hard evidence of her absolutely graphic and suggestive pictures, her attorney said they would persist and take it all to the media...so, even with all that in the Company’s favor, and even after firing the officer, the business choice was to pay her $40K which she split with her attorney.

She is constrained to this day by a confidentiality and non disclosure agreement. I, not being a party to the agreement, am not.

These claims against Cain are all horse-pucky to anyone who has been at a high level in corporate life.

All the sexual harassment laws have done is make women less employable...especially if they are at all attractive women. This folks is a absolute fact that everyone in business has to pretend is not true, and is something you will never get those in the senior leadership of companies to ever admit, at least in public.

I wish Sowell was more accurate with his stats or at least would source them. My understanding is that Hispanics vote the least, blacks vote in low numbers, but their 90%+ Dem vote translates to the margin of victory in national and statewide races with urban votes.

If that number were to fall to just the low to mid 80% I believe the Dems would be toast on the national level and perhaps on the state level as well.

“I agree with you entirely. Thank you for your response to my question.”

You’re welcome. I hadn’t thought it out, but it started coming to me as I was typing.

Let’s hope we get to see if I’m right.

Cain should say that the race card is being played. The old stereotype of black people being oversexed is being used, which it is. The liberals are racist.

Ultimate Prize In Cain Smear: The Black Vote
______________________________________________________________
This is weird Kas. I read the entire article twice and saw no connection between the “smear” and “the Black vote”. I hope that is the case but the body of the article did not allude to the title of the article at all. Whassup wit dat? I’d love to see Blacks rally to Herman Cain.

What about David Gregory of NBC saying yesterday that there was “no Grand Wizard” (his words) in the GOP to run Herman Cain out of the race? Alluding to the Grand Wizard of the KKK.

Your question indicates that you believe the “alleged” charges. That’s like asking a man: “Do you still beat your wife.” A yes or no answer, either one, is incriminating.

We really need judges to dismiss more frivolous suits and for a “loser pays” policy like other countries have. It would help cut medical costs, auto insurance costs, etc. The courtroom is being treated like a casino.

The money and support is pouring in for Herman Cain, but we cannot slow down now. Please help him by donating at http://www.hermancain.com/

Also to help join the buzz about Herman go to facebook.com and “like” him. His “likes” have jumped dramatically since the attacks started. Make no mistake Sean Hannity’s BFF Tokyo Rove is watching Herman’s “likes” and so is Romney. THIS is the way to stick it to the GOP establishment! Please tell your family and friends to “like” Herman as well. Then let’s bring out our most powerful tool for helping Herman Cain: PRAYING that God protects him from the people of darkness.

It's in the last four paragraphs of the article, especially the last one

What role does race play in all this?

It is probably not racism, as such, that motivates these attacks on Herman Cain. The motivation is far more likely to be politics, but politics makes a prominent black conservative like Clarence Thomas or Herman Cain far more dangerous to the Democrats than an equally prominent white conservative.

The 90% black vote for Democrats is like money in the bank on election day. A prominent black conservative who offers an alternative view of the world is a serious danger politically, because if that alternative view has the net effect of reducing the black vote for Democrats just to 75%, the Democrats are in big trouble at election time.

In this political context, merely defeating a black conservative at the polls or at confirmation hearings is not enough. He must be destroyed as an influence in the future — and character assassination is the most obvious way to do it.

All of this is certainly taking its toll on Juan Williams. After being mugged at PBS, and now this, Juan appears to be shaken to his core. Hopefully, he is really beginning to see the light about his liberal “friends.” ... and what about Dick Gregory’s statement about there not being a “Grand Wizard” in the GOP to force Cain out of the race??? Of course, there is no Grand Wizard (of the KKK) in the GOP. They are all Rats.

If Herman Cain is anywhere on the final ‘12 GOP Presidential ticket, then I, still, don’t see how it will get much of the total minority votes, during the November ‘12 general election. For many decades and counting, minority groups have voted in the majority for Democratic Party POTUS candidates, and there are no signs of this voting trend stopping anytime soon.

The slimy MSM and Obama operatives; know that they can’t put Cain on SNLive and do him in.They can’t make up any more crap and pay people to say it (probably with our tax money!)They know the tea party literally rules as majority with good people and they can longer call us nazi racists. They have nothing to run on because they are for tyranny.Cain shows no favoritism to Wall Street so they can’t say republicans are for the fat cats and hate poor people. They will try saying that Cain has no politico but that theory won’t work either. They can’t pick on any lack of Cain’s foreign policy as it is clear without a good economy there is no foreign policy accept what their idiotic Obama does speaking on a live microphone.

They are desperate.Notice that the Obama anti ISRAEL anti Jewish remark is not being talked about?

No matter what they try next they’re Alinsky tactics won’t work anymore. They are breaking they’re very own Alinsky rule no 7

7. “A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag. Man can sustain militant interest in any issue for only a limited time....”

7. Tactics

“Tactics are those conscious deliberate acts by which human beings live with each other and deal with the world around them. ... Here our concern is with the tactic of taking; how the Have-Nots can take power away from the Haves.” p.126

Always remember the first rule of power tactics (pps.127-134):

1. “Power is not only what you have, but what the enemy thinks you have.”

2. “Never go outside the expertise of your people. When an action or tactic is outside the experience of the people, the result is confusion, fear and retreat.... [and] the collapse of communication.

3. “Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy. Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty. (This happens all the time. Watch how many organizations under attack are blind-sided by seemingly irrelevant arguments that they are then forced to address.)

4. “Make the enemy live up to its own book of rules. You can kill them with this, for they can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity.”

5. “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counteract ridicule. Also it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage.”

6. “A good tactic is one your people enjoy.”

7. “A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag. Man can sustain militant interest in any issue for only a limited time....”

8. “Keep the pressure on, with different tactics and actions, and utilize all events of the period for your purpose.”

9. “The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.”

10. “The major premise for tactics is the development of operations that will maintain a constant pressure upon the opposition. It is this unceasing pressure that results in the reactions from the opposition that are essential for the success of the campaign.”

11. “If you push a negative hard and deep enough, it will break through into its counterside... every positive has its negative.”

12. “The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative.”

13. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it. In conflict tactics there are certain rules that [should be regarded] as universalities. One is that the opposition must be singled out as the target and ‘frozen.’...

“...any target can always say, ‘Why do you center on me when there are others to blame as well?’ When your ‘freeze the target,’ you disregard these [rational but distracting] arguments.... Then, as you zero in and freeze your target and carry out your attack, all the ‘others’ come out of the woodwork very soon. They become visible by their support of the target...’

“One acts decisively only in the conviction that all the angels are on one side and all the devils on the other.” (pps.127-134)

Saul Alinksky, Rules for Radicals, Vintage Books, New York, 1989.

Additional Notes:

Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals: “Known as the ‘father of modern American radicalism,’ Saul D. Alinsky (1909-1972) developed strategies and tactics that take the enormous, unfocused emotional energy of grassroots groups and transform it into effective anti-government and anti-corporate activism. ... Some of these rules are ruthless, but they work.”

Article by Phyllis Schalfly titled “Alinski’s Rules: Must Reading In Obama Era,” posted at www.ibdeditorials.com/IBDArticles.aspx?id=318470857908277 (2-2-09)

“Alinsky’s second chapter, called Of Means and Ends, craftily poses many difficult moral dilemmas, and his ‘tenth rule of the ethics of means and ends’ is: ‘you do what you can with what you have and clothe it with moral arguments.’ He doesn’t ignore traditional moral standards or dismiss them as unnecessary. He is much more devious; he teaches his followers that ‘Moral rationalization is indispensable at all times of action whether to justify the selection or the use of ends or means.’...

“The qualities Alinsky looked for in a good organizer were:

ego (”reaching for the highest level for which man can reach — to create, to be a ‘great creator,’ to play God”),

curiosity (raising “questions that agitate, that break through the accepted pattern”),

irreverence (”nothing is sacred”; the organizer “detests dogma, defies any finite definition of morality”),

imagination (”the fuel for the force that keeps an organizer organizing”),

a sense of humor (”the most potent weapons known to mankind are satire and ridicule”), and an

organized personality with confidence in presenting the right reason for his actions only “as a moral rationalization after the right end has been achieved.’...

“’The organizer’s first job is to create the issues or problems,’ and ‘organizations must be based on many issues.’ The organizer ‘must first rub raw the resentments of the people of the community; fan the latent hostilities of many of the people to the point of overt expression. He must search out controversy and issues, rather than avoid them, for unless there is controversy people are not concerned enough to act. . . . An organizer must stir up dissatisfaction and discontent.’”

Cain says that he can get 30% of Obama’s Black vote, and I believe him. A lot of Blacks are disillusioned with Obama. If Cain is the nominee, they can vote for Cain, in protest to Obama because of the 16% Unemployment in the Black community, and not feel guilty because the didn’t vote for a brotha.

It’s a tough call with black women, as we typically don’t lump them with the feminists, and they have their own set of problems. The biggest of which is that black men are, generally, useless - either they’re in jail, drugged/ganged out, or fathering kids all over. Cain may just reach those women and, essentially, let them know that he’s going to help black men clean up their act. They just may like him for that.

I hope so, but, I'm afraid they will see an end to their 'gravy train' if the Cain Train pulls into the White House.
