Hit On? Did I say "hit on"?

You are obviously either not a Southerner or at least not a gentleman.

Cain said he was innocent of ANY sexual harassment. You're concern with his "family values" implies you believe he is lying.

I believe you are wrong...dead wrong!

I'm a northern girl who has experienced southern flirtation. In fact, I'll go further and say I've experienced black southern flirtation. As a girl, my friends and I were fond of jazz and went to all the jazz clubs in Manhattan. After a set, the artists and sidemen would come over to our table, get us a drink and spend time talking and flirting. I still can remember telling my mother that some of these guys reminded me of Rhett Butler. Flirtatious? Yes. But also humorous, charming and kind. The way I think that Herman Cain might be.

Would you feel gullible or would you say stupid (if it's shown to be true)?

Not at all. It's obvious that he has Muslim sympathies and was enrolled at a madrasa in Indonesia. I'm just not sure if the Marxist atheism or the moon god of Arabia takes the first place in his mind.

Although, it seems that he would kneel before a mirror whether or not it faced Mecca.

I need to COME OUT.

I simply must confess.

My guilt is overwhelming my every thought. I feel so ashamed and, and... dirty, so very dirty.

I have long thought that I may have been born this way. I don’t think it was anyones fault, although I felt so guilty. I think I was 13 when I first began to realized that I might have a problem.... it was around the time that I started to get hair in certain places.

At first there were only hints of the problem. Those hints would come to me out of the blue.... I did nothing, they just came. They would come at night too.

When I was a young boy, I could never understand why girls didn’t like the games us boys played, stuff like war, seeing who could spit the farthest, playing cars in the dirt and building “boys only” Forts.

I came to believe that girls must have a special germ that made them crazy. Sure, they always seemed to be smart in school, but they were stupid about the important things in life... they couldn’t even pee standing up.

But, like I said, the nightmare started when I was 13. In the years to come, it just got worse.... it was horrible, this affliction controlled much of my life.

As the years seemed to fly by, I gained control and managed to learn how to direct this strange force within me. I finally had to just accept it as my normal, it was just the way I was, I couldn’t help it....

After living with this problem for many years, I became quite good at focussing.

Then one day I met this woman... and well.... Look, I trust you folks will try to understand and help me keep my sin secret... Okay, I’ll say it... I FLIRTED.

YES, I flirted, I flirted and I flirted AGAIN. I just couldn’t stop it.

Well, that woman married me, we have raised 2 great kids, now have 8 grandchildren and have been together for 40 years.

Now, I continue to have my problem, it is a curse, but it never goes beyond flirting.... I love my bride and would never allow it to go further.

Here is the deal, I happen to like girls. I know how to be (just) friends with girls and I hope I always will. Sure, they still aren’t interested in competing in a spitting contest, they are all crazy and they still can’t pee standing up, but heck, they are still fun to be around.

Nowadays, it seems as though somebody came up with a cure for those with my affliction, because it sure looks like far too many boys have been turned into girls, kinda girls.

Maybe, just maybe, Cain has suffered from the same strange curse that I have had to live with for most of my life. I suspect he also knows how to survive it. LOL

~Just livin’ life, my way~

Who could flame you?

I was taught to handle the flirtations of men in a sane way. Basically, in the same manner you just described. The freaks I learned to avoid. These women need to become adults.

See post #64.

I might have flirted with you and I feel horrible about it. I hope that you will forgive me.

I hope I flirted back! Flirting can be fun and educational. Young women learn how to deal with the male sex in a smart, savvy and calm way. (Doesn’t anyone read Gone with the Wind, anymore??)

These women are little girls.

“young natural blond with “assets”

Proof, I need to see proof.

Seriously, that was a very good post and you are spot on..... ;>) Please... don’t take that smile too seriously. LOL

Indeed.

Maybe tjd1454 was born after feminism and bottom-line-above-all took over!

"Flirting" is a pleasant social grace and not expected to go anywhere. "Hitting on" is not a grace of any kind; it definitely aims for the bottom line and moves on rapidly if returns are not forthcoming!

"Hit On? Did I say "hit on"? You are obviously either not a Southerner or at least not a gentleman..."

Yes, I would consider thrusting one's hand under the clothing of a woman to be within the definition of "hitting on."

The allegation may very well be false. I hope it is, and believe someone is innocent until proven guilty. But such behavior certainly would fall within the definition of "hitting on" a woman.

One other think. I am not a native Southerner, but as a married man, while on a business trip (or any other time), I would NOT ask a woman to dine with me who I really did not know and had no legitimate reason to dine with. I suspect my wife would take the same view.

If you need to continue a business-related discussion over dinner, fine. Just get a bunch of people and go out together. That's how you do that. (Again, I am speaking here on the principle of the matter; I sincerely hope the allegations regarding Cain are false).

You listed one accuser twice.

One of the anonymous accusers is actually Kraushaar (sp?).

There are, at most, 3 accusers.

1 still anonymous.
1 no longer anonymous: Kraushaar
1 Beilek

3, not 4, not 5. 3.

The waitress at the diner today called me “sweetie.” That made me feel very uncomfortable. I would call a lawyer but she isn’t famous.

My comment was about "flirting" in the abstract not about what Cain was accused of doing to Bialek (in fact, that wasn't even mentioned in the article on which this thread is based).

Not sure what your point is by conflating different issues. I suggest you reread my comment and your response.

Thanks to feminism, women can leave the kitchen and the home and go into the business world where they can make it on their own by shaking down businessmen with this sexual harassment nonsense.

Of course, this doesn't count if one is a Democrat such as Clinton. In keeping with the principles of the French Revolution (the template for Communism, Nazism, Fascism, modern day Libalism), there are no crimes -- only criminals!

Absolutely Miss M! By not having standards ourselves we encourage the rats to come out of their dark lairs. Keep them down where they belong.

Gentlemen and women are still a work in progress.

Of course, I still reserve the right to tell anyone to “f” off if they need it ;D!

Oops! That’s not so gentle is it ;D!

“It was just a VAGUE FEELING that she can’t even put a finger on.”

I can do her one better: I have a VERY SPECIFIC feeling Obama is a terrible president. When is the MSM gonna interview me?
