This was an establishment (RATS and maybe even RINO) and media orchestrated hit job that failed, IMO.
People (Coulter, et. al.) were uncovering connections to Obama’s Axelrod, much of the public was simply not buying it (although the meme of “5” accusers is still out there), and Cain’s name and popularity was/is growing as respect for the media was/is tanking.
Likely a good time for them to pull the plug, but we will see.

Why did Bialeks boyfriend allow a black man to sexually assault his pretty white girlfriend and yet he did nothing, never called Cain, wrote Cain, confronted Cain, never went to the police, never told his pretty white girlfriend to go to the police, nothing. Girlfriend without a job molested by the head of the NRA, a rich black man and they expect people to believe they did nothing for 14 years? You know, these sorts of comments are very affirming for conservatives and very damning for the racist RATS.
Out of all I read and heard on this issue on Free Republic and many, many other news sources, the only racist remarks that I heard came from the RATS bashing Cain, conservatives who support Cain, or both. It was VERY clear when a conservative was speaking about versus a RAT.

If I recall right, the witness also said that she couldn’t understand why Bialek would say that she did not know Cain would be there and made it sound like Bialek KNEW Cain would be there. From what I remember reading, she basically proved Bialek was a liar right then and there. If course, the MSM discuss dwell on that admission.
Indeed. They had expected to be able to play this with nothing more than soundbites and innuendos, but with Wood watching every move they make it becomes very difficult to manufacture any salaciousness.
This could be a watershed moment in American politics. The first time a “borking” has been effectively preempted. I’m not counting Thomas in that list because he won his fight by means of a “hail-Mary” pass at the close.
There are going to be a lot of lessons to be learned from this fiasco when the dust settles.
What we need is a photoshop of Karl Rove and Gloria Allred sitting on the couch like Nancy and Newt.
