So by the standard set down by Christ Himself , you are as guilty as Newt Gingrich, and so am I.

Now get down off of that self-righteous pedestal, we're all sinners, and it doesn't matter if we thought about it and didn't do it, or thought about it and carried through with it:

We are ALL sinners who have fallen short of the Glory of God.

There is a difference between thinking about a sinful act and committing it. The latter will get the adulterer and adulteress stoned. The former is a prelude to the potential act. So deny it and its offspring.

Each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death (James 1:14-15).

I just recently rediscovered this verse:

But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof. (Romans 13:14).
