'Multiple Threats' Sideline Penn State Coach Who Witnessed Alleged Child Sexual Assault

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – Penn State assistant coach Mike McQueary will miss Saturday's game against Nebraska after the school said he received "multiple threats."

McQueary testified in a grand jury investigation that eventually led to child sex-abuse charges being filed against former defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky. The ensuing scandal brought down longtime coach Joe Paterno, who was fired by the university on Wednesday amid growing criticism that he should have done more to stop the alleged abuse.

McQueary, who testified that he saw Sandusky sodomizing a boy in the shower, encountered similar scrutiny. The university's athletic department released a one-line statement Thursday night saying it would be "in the best interest of all" if the receivers coach didn't attend the season's final home game at Beaver Stadium.

That is what I want to know.

Is the PedoState “community” mad at this guy for witnessing it and then doing nothing for decades as Sandusky paraded around with a bevy of young boys all around PedoState?

Or is the PedoState “community” mad at this guy for ‘leaving Paterno’s ass out in the wind’ by accurately recounting his testimony?

Seeing what I have seen with riots and wearing white - I think the latter rather than the former - which doesn't speak well of the “community” there at PedoState.

I questioned why he didn’t stop the incident as well.

As long as we as a country do not protect our children things simply are not going to go well for us.

Yesturday I saw a man grab his sons face so hard, and shake his head til his hair lifted...and with an anger I cannot discribe....all the while yelling with a tone I cannot describe......I yelled out “Hey!!!!”.... He then picked up the kid thru him over his shoulder and walked off...the child, about three....grasping his face and in tears....

I contacted management about this, what was the company’s policy and was promptly told not to interfer....that if the company was sued for my interference I would loose my job. My response to them...then in the future if I see an incident as this I will again yell out “Hey” to get it to stop, and if I loose my job so be it.

Yes, Mark Madden is someone who’s been on top of this from the beginning. His theories are worth consideration.

“NOBODY knows what they would do in a given situation until they find themselves in such a situation.”

Maybe. It’s safe to say I don’t know how I’d react in some circumstances.

But I’m pretty sure if I saw a grown man sodomizing a 10-yr old boy in a college locker room shower, I wouldn’t just walk away. For anybody that I would classify as a real man, the only decision would be whether or not to physically intervene first, or to call 9-1-1 first.

Most mothers with 10-yr old boys of their own likely would have attacked Sandusky with every ounce of strength they had.

That's a good thing. I hope the entire football program at Penn State is dismantled.
These people (Penn State football fans) need to doing something else (other than watching Penn State football) on Saturdays for many years to come.

Guess no one at Ped State cares about young boys OR taxpayers.

The show must go on...

Most grand mothers would too.

But of course most of these boys probably had mothers that were too f’d up on crack to care, and the fathers? Forget about it.

Not sure if you are in the Pgh area, but his home station is 105.9 ‘The X.’ Its on I <3 Radio too. I listened to MM yesterday (instead of Hannity) and once I got past the strip club and ‘earn money, donate sperm’ ads, it was fascinating. He really has been on there (he is so outrageous that he can ‘go’ where ‘real’ journalists won’t go). I plan on listening later for new info.

I wonder if McQueary had a cell phone on him when he witnessed the shower scene.

well, I have already recanted and you are right. What I thought was happening was that he was going to be attacked for talking to the grand jury. Guess I was watching too much TV

“I will never use the term “sports hero” again. Physical endurance, stamina, commitment, and dedication to a sport does not and will never make somebody a hero.

There were plenty of opportunities for a hero to emerge here, and none did.”

Bingo — No heros whatsoever in this disgusting drama.

“Anyone who could watch that and do nothing to stop it is as guilty as the rapist.”

Yep. Coach Coward should have been fired as well for failure to report this to the police—instead of running home to daddy.

This is a fabulous article for those following the case. One bombshell: Paterno now claims he interrupted McQueary's report to him of what he'd seen the night before "before it got too graphic". I think JoePa, who expresses such sorrow now, was savvily setting up plausible deniability at the time, well aware of his culpability given his knowledge of the 1998 Sandusky investigation. Lots of new, at least to me, stuff in the article. What happened and who talked to who and about what in the 10 days between McQueary leaving Paterno's house the day after the attack and McQueary finally being called in to explain to AD Curley, Paterno's former player, assistant coach, and close associate for over 30 yrs., will be enlightening.

You mean Coach Coward?

“Yeah I agree. Even me, as a female would have shouted “Get off him, slimeball.”

That’s because you’ve got more moral fiber and guts than Coach Coward.

“I’ve heard students at the game are going to walk out en masse during the game to protest Paterno’s firing.”

Maybe they can raffle off tickets for a free date with Sandusky to further demonstrate their support for Joe Inferno.
