STATE COLLEGE, Pa. Penn State assistant coach Mike McQueary will miss Saturday's game against Nebraska after the school said he received "multiple threats."
McQueary testified in a grand jury investigation that eventually led to child sex-abuse charges being filed against former defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky. The ensuing scandal brought down longtime coach Joe Paterno, who was fired by the university on Wednesday amid growing criticism that he should have done more to stop the alleged abuse.
McQueary, who testified that he saw Sandusky sodomizing a boy in the shower, encountered similar scrutiny. The university's athletic department released a one-line statement Thursday night saying it would be "in the best interest of all" if the receivers coach didn't attend the season's final home game at Beaver Stadium.

Anyone who could watch that and do nothing to stop it is as guilty as the rapist.
I wonder how many more times he saw Sandusky over the years, and how they greeted one another? Especially when Sandusky was bringing more little boys to games with sideline passes?
There fixed it. This will haunt him for the rest of his life.
One has to wonder, if the grand jury hadn't come out with the report, would this fellow have kept on coaching as if nothing happened? It seems like Paterno would have.
This is so sickening...
Great. The evil spreads. The one guy who did something right is under attack.
Sick
Big effing pussy. He walked away to call daddy. I'd have killed the old fag in the shower.
Boo-fricken-hoo. I’ll tell you what. If I see someone beating the crap out of McQueary at the gam, I’ll drive to my father’s house and ask him what to do. Then, the next day, I’ll report it to the administration and hope they do something about it. If there is an investigation, perhaps I will volunteer testimony 5 or 6 years later.
WHAT! Folks, Penn State does not get it! This McQuerey dude is as guilty as anyone. How does he sleep at night? Weird.
I can imagine the shock and horror of coming upon a scene like that however I would never be able to live with myself if I walked away and did nothing other than verbally reporting it.
Personally, I think that this has all happened so rapidly that the board was focused mainly on the president and Paterno, and hadn't even thought beyond that.
Barry Switzer yesterday flat-out said that ALL the coaches HAD to know what Sandusky was doing...either seen directly, or heard about it...he call it a cover up
McQueary will go..but what about the inteim coach..who was there for 33 years..and got Sandusky's job after he "retired." He knew nothing? They should can the entire staff, and bring in some outside coaches for the last three games..either big names or former PSU players who know the system..
Where’s Barney?
Conor- sadly, McQueery is in a protected class now as a “whistleblower”. If Penn State cans him (as they SHOULD) he’ll sue the University and stands to collect a lot of money in a settlement. My guess is the gutless enabler will slime away at the end of the season all on his own fue to pressure from the public.
He witnessed the attack. He was a 28 year old man. He called his father. One can argue he did something right but he by no means did everything he could. Not even close.
Damn right, what a big baby. Told daddy, this is the cupcake generation.
Maybe I have missed something in the coverage but if Paterno has to go, why doesn’t this guy?
Why wasn’t he fired immediately???????-———This guy makes me sick at my stomach.
Coward!
